Cardi requested primary custody of the couple's two children at the time, daughter Kulture, then 5, and son Wave, then 2. According to a statement from her representative, the filing "is not based on any one particular incident, it has been a long time coming and is amicable." A source close to the situation told Page Six the pair had simply grown apart, pushing back on speculation that infidelity drove the split.
