Aminata Gueye and Tiffany Hayes Sparked Angel Reese Trolling Right After Game 7

The mocking of Angel Reese did not start at the parade.
It began immediately after Game 7 when Valkyries forward Aminata Gueye and guard Tiffany Hayes turned Reese's celebration right back at her on social media.
Gueye posted a photo of Reese mid-taunt on Instagram.
Hayes made the same 'too small' gesture on an Instagram live.
Both players were directly involved in the moment that started the rivalry.
In Game 3 of the WNBA Finals, Reese directed her signature 'too small' taunt toward the Valkyries' bench after a confrontation with Gueye.

Gueye had spent much of the series defending Reese.
Reese finished that night with 21 points and 12 rebounds in a 68-63 Atlanta win.
The Dream took a 2-1 series lead.
Golden State then won four straight games.
Reese never scored more than 15 points in any of the final four contests.
The Valkyries won Game 7, 68-63, to claim their first championship in only their second season.

Almost immediately after the decisive victory, Gueye shared an image referencing the hand gesture on Instagram.
Hayes followed with her own version on live video.
The two players set the tone before the franchise ever planned a parade.
On Wednesday, November 4, the Valkyries held their championship parade in San Francisco.
Thousands of fans in lavender lined the Embarcadero.
Cameras caught Valkyries staff members wearing T-shirts featuring Reese's face edited into the crying Michael Jordan meme.

The shirts also included her 'too small' hand gesture.
Fans shared a photo of a pink pacifier with a paper tag reading 'if found return to: ATL.'
The fan who posted it said these were actually being handed out during the festivities.
Former Golden State Warriors player Festus Ezeli was spotted aboard one of the team's buses holding up one of the T-shirts.
The digs were a reminder that the competitive tension between Golden State and Atlanta had not disappeared with the final buzzer.
Instead, the Valkyries appeared happy to revisit some of the moments that had made their championship journey particularly entertaining.

Reese was not the only target during the parade.
Center Kiah Stokes stepped off the ferry in a shirt copying ESPN's title-odds chart from late July.
That chart listed the Fever, Aces, Lynx, Liberty and Dream as the top five picks.
Golden State was sixth.
ESPN Insights replied on X, 'Sorry we were a little late to the party.'
The doubts were understandable at the time.

The Valkyries were 10-7 at the midpoint and 3-6 against playoff teams.
They also finished the year without a single All-WNBA player, a first for a champion.
Then they went 13-4 after the chart came out and finished 32-12 as the No. 2 seed.
As of November 4, ESPN's updated chart gave them a 100 percent chance of winning the Finals.
Stokes, who won her fourth championship, also set a Finals record with 19 blocks.
The trolling of Reese has sparked intense reaction and debate across social media.
Some fans argue Reese brought the wave on herself by taunting Golden State's bench in Game 3.
Others say the Valkyries took the mocking too far by making it a central part of their championship celebration.
The question remains: Did Angel Reese bring this wave of trolling on herself by taunting Golden State's bench in Game 3, or did the Valkyries take the mocking too far?
