Big Brother 2026 has officially crowned a winner.

Rochelle took the title on the live final, hosted by AJ Odudu and Will Best on ITV2.

The win came with a £100,000 cash prize.

Six finalists faced the public vote: Catrin, Lynx, Rochelle, Samuel, Twinks and Yasmin.

They were eliminated one by one until Rochelle was announced as the winner.

Twinks finished as runner-up.

Yasmin placed third, Sam fourth, Lynx fifth and Catrin sixth.

The episode before the final saw Omar and Frankie sent home in a backdoor eviction during a task.

That left six housemates for the live finale.

Before each eviction, hosts revealed that voting would open and close between announcements.

That allowed viewers to cast five more votes on top of previous totals.

Rochelle's reaction was emotional.

"Thank you so much to every single person that voted for me," she said in her winner's statement.

"I can't tell you what this means. It's absolutely incredible."

"I don't know who you are, but thank you so, so much."

"And I hope that I entertained you because I worked bloody hard in that house."

"And also, it looks like I've got the last word because I'm winner, winner, chicken dinner."

But the celebration was not without controversy.

According to reports from LADbible, Rochelle was met with boos and taunts as she exited the house.

One viewer wrote on social media: "This is so awkward to watch omg."

Another claimed they "couldn't hear a single word" of her interview over the noise.

Reaction on X was sharply divided.

One supporter wrote: "Thank the lord that the princess Rochelle won."

Another said: "Soooo glad that Rochelle won!!! Such a deserving winner."

A third fan said they were "not shocked" by the result.

But others expressed disbelief.

"How did Rochelle win?!" one commenter wrote.

Several viewers wished runner-up Twinks had taken the crown.

An Instagram user wrote on Twinks' final message: "YOU SHOULD HAVE WON!"

The mixed reaction capped a turbulent season for the ITV2 series.

Big Brother 2026 quickly became the most complained-about season in the show's modern history.

An episode broadcast on October 19 alone drew more than 7,000 complaints to Ofcom.

Those complaints largely centered on housemate Omar's treatment of fellow contestant Rhianna.

A Big Brother spokesperson responded to the concerns in a statement to Radio Times.

"All housemates receive respect and inclusion training and an extensive briefing from the Big Brother senior team to prepare them for living in the house and to set out Big Brother's expectations for appropriate behaviour and language," the spokesperson said.

"Housemates are monitored 24 hours a day and any instances of inappropriate behaviour are responded to appropriately."

"Welfare and safeguarding are prioritised throughout the production, with a dedicated welfare team available to support housemates before, during and after their time in the house."

Despite the complaints, the series proved a hit for ITV.

The broadcaster reported 12.7 million viewers across the run.

On the final night, the housemates shared one last meal together.

They then reflected on the experience in the diary room.

"This experience will live on with me forever," said Lynx.

Samuel thanked Big Brother "for choosing this random old nerd from Slough to go on and live his dream."
