Enzo Amore Spotted Backstage at WWE NXT After Survivor Exit

Enzo Amore was spotted backstage at the WWE Performance Center on Wednesday prior to that night's NXT episode, according to Fightful Select.

Amore was reportedly visiting the facility alongside TNA star Joe Alonzo.

Fightful could not confirm that Amore had signed a contract with WWE.

The report noted that Amore and Alonzo were merely visiting the Performance Center.

However, Amore's presence at the NXT tapings sends a strong signal that he could be back in the WWE fold.

It has been quite a year for Enzo Amore — especially since he has not appeared on American wrestling television at all in 2026.

And yet, Amore has often been in the news.

Earlier this year, he was rumored to be returning to WWE after being spotted at the Performance Center.

That return did not materialize at the time.

Then recent reports suggested he would be coming back to WWE after all.

The speculation will only continue after this latest sighting.

In previous reporting, it was suggested that Amore would be returning to WWE as part of the NXT brand — not the WWE main roster.

This information was surprising to some given his previous tag team with Big Cass.

Big Cass himself returned to WWE from AEW earlier this year.

Cass is currently wrestling on Raw as an ally to new WWE Intercontinental Champion Ethan Page.

Interestingly enough, WWE may not have been Amore's only option.

Those within AEW say the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion had tested the waters about potentially joining them earlier this year.

It is unclear whether AEW had any interest in signing Amore.

It is also unclear if the two sides had any significant talks.

Amore had raised eyebrows earlier this year when a video featuring him and Maven Huffman saw him be highly critical of AEW.

It was later revealed that the video had been filmed a year before it was posted.

Amore was actually highly complimentary of the promotion for their handling of the death of his friend PAC.

Amore's potential return comes as another former NXT wrestler is making headlines for a completely different reason.

Pro wrestler Brady Booker, who worked for WWE earlier in his career as part of the NXT roster under the name Bodhi Hayward, was voted off Survivor 51 this week.

Booker was a member of Chase U while with NXT.

He was voted off at the midway point during the merge episode, where the game becomes less tribe-focused and more about individual strategy.

Booker was blindsided in a 9-4 vote.

He now becomes the first member of the jury that will choose the winner of Survivor 51.

Since the show is filmed well in advance, Booker has already returned to his pro wrestling career.

He has been a champion for QT Marshall's One Fall Wrestling promotion.

Booker also regularly competes in dark matches at ROH tapings alongside Drago and Billy Gunn.

Booker's time on Survivor included him accidentally cutting off a quarter of his thumb with a machete.

Survivor host Jeff Probst praised Booker for how he handled that situation with courage and humor.

Probst wrote in his field notes for the November 4 episode: Another brutal blindside.

Being voted out always feels personal, even when it's not.

Not a single word from Brady as he grabbed his torch.

Brady made history not only for chopping off his thumb, but for the way in which he handled it – humorously and courageously.

Probst also said Booker made a strong first impression on him just from his casting tape alone, standing out because his personality was so big.

Meanwhile, another major NXT story this week involved Paige's surprise return.

Former WWE Divas Champion Paige revealed that her return to NXT on November 4 was not originally planned.

Paige explained that WWE Chief Content Officer Paul Triple H Levesque personally approached her about the appearance shortly before the show.

Paige made an unexpected return to the brand as the mystery challenger for NXT Women's Champion Kelani Jordan.

She competed in her first NXT match since 2014.

Although she was unsuccessful in capturing the championship, the appearance marked a significant return for the inaugural NXT Women's Champion.

During an appearance on Busted Open Radio, Paige explained that she was brought into the match as a last-minute replacement.

I got called last minute, Paige said.

It wasn't actually supposed to be me.

Triple H pulled me aside in Brooklyn at the double taping and said, Do you mind going down to NXT?

I was like, Oh shit. Yeah, definitely.

The former champion admitted that the unexpected nature of the opportunity left her with limited time to prepare for the championship encounter.
