They truly believed their days of fighting were firmly behind them. However this time a hostile international technocratic syndicate turns their peaceful Ozian sanctuary into an absolute tactical war zone. Elphaba completely turns the glittering streets of the Emerald City into her own personal arena of destruction utilizing dark magic and brutal martial arts. Standing right by her side Ariana Grande steps into a remarkably mature and commanding role. She completely swaps her bubbly popularity and gravity defying hair for ruthless and brilliant guerrilla warfare. A pretentious and highly expansionist Wizard remnant enters the fray determined to control the magic of the land at any cost. This dangerous faction is heavily backed by a newly militarized Madame Morrible played to absolute perfection by Michelle Yeoh. Madame Morrible has miraculously survived her dark exile and spent years mastering tactical warfare. She is joined by a terrifying cybernetically enhanced Fiyero brought to life by Jonathan Bailey who now serves as a cold mechanical enforcer. The witches brilliantly weaponize nostalgic magical items turning sharpened spell books into deadly throwing projectiles and utilizing high tech explosive enchanted bubbles that detonate heavily upon impact. With absolute tactical dominance required to save their beloved home it is the fiercely protective icons who are leading the final glorious charge.
