JetBlue Unveils Custom Florida Panthers Plane for Commercial Passengers, but Team Keeps Separate Charter

JetBlue officially unveiled a special Florida Panthers-themed Airbus A320 named 'Go Cats Go' at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
The ceremony took place on Thursday morning in Dania Beach to celebrate an expanded partnership between the airline and the National Hockey League club.
Several key franchise figures attended the event, including Florida Panthers President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Bill Zito.
Panthers captain Aleksander Barkov was on hand for the celebration alongside veteran forward Brad Marchand.
Local officials and community partners gathered on the tarmac to get the first official look at the customized passenger aircraft.
Despite the direct team branding, hockey fans hoping to share a cabin with their favorite athletes will not see the roster on board.
The Panthers themselves will not be flying in this aircraft during their travels across the hockey calendar.
Instead, the team will continue utilizing its private team charter operated by Delta Air Lines.
The newly revealed jet is designated as a standard commercial airliner operating within regular JetBlue flight service.
That arrangement allows everyday travelers and hockey enthusiasts the chance to fly on a plane dedicated entirely to the South Florida franchise.

LOOKING AT THE LIVERY
The exterior of the Airbus A320 features an extensive paint scheme drenched in vibrant Panthers red.
Along the side of the fuselage, designers placed the franchise's creeping panther emblem, drawn directly from the team's secondary shoulder patch.
The aircraft's tail showcases the primary Florida shield logo rendered in deep navy and gold.
JetBlue also incorporated the team's traditional stick-and-palm logo into the custom livery.
Underneath the aircraft, the word "FLORIDA" is printed in bold red lettering across a white belly.
The undercarriage display also includes the team's iconic leaping cat logo, ensuring the plane is easily identifiable from the ground during flight.
Nicknamed Air Cat One, the aircraft bears the official operational designation "Go Cats Go" in honor of the team's popular rallying cry.
Drivers commuting along nearby Interstate 95 can even spot the distinctive red fuselage as flights descend into Fort Lauderdale.
FROM THE FACTORY TO THE FLEET

While the formal public rollout happened on Thursday morning, the plane had already quietly entered operational rotation.
Prior to the ceremony, the aircraft flew an international round trip from New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport to the Dominican Republic.
It touched down in South Florida on Wednesday evening to prepare for the morning unveiling in Dania Beach.
Immediately following the media presentation, the aircraft was scheduled to return to active commercial duty with an afternoon flight from Fort Lauderdale to Boston Logan International Airport.
JetBlue leadership expressed enthusiasm about honoring the South Florida hockey market through its fleet.
"South Florida has been part of JetBlue's story since our very first flight more than two decades ago," said JetBlue President Marty St. George.
"'Go Cats Go' is a fun way to celebrate our shared passion for South Florida and team up with a franchise that knows how to make some noise," St. George added.
General manager Bill Zito praised the collaboration as an exciting milestone for the organization and its supporter base.
Zito noted that the aircraft offers "a unique opportunity for us to welcome Panthers fans, locals and visitors to our region onboard a truly South Florida aircraft."
A DEEPENING REGIONAL PARTNERSHIP

The aircraft unveiling marks the latest chapter in a multi-year commercial alliance between the airline and the reigning hockey champions.
JetBlue has served as a longtime sponsor of the Panthers while treating Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport as a cornerstone hub.
The carrier first launched service at the airport in 2000 and has since grown into one of its largest operators.
JetBlue currently manages more than 150 peak daily departures to over 60 nonstop destinations out of Fort Lauderdale.
At the arena level, JetBlue serves as the presenting sponsor of the Champions Club and the JetBlue Landing inside Amerant Bank Arena.
The airline and the hockey team also collaborate on community outreach programs across the local educational system.
Their shared initiatives include the Panthers' Reading Challenge, an academic incentive program created for students enrolled in Broward County Public Schools.
The new livery celebrates a franchise operating at the undisputed peak of the hockey world.
Florida captured back-to-back Stanley Cup championships during the 2023-24 and 2024-25 campaigns.
EXPANDING THE JETBLUE SPORTS COLLECTION

Headquartered in Long Island City, New York, JetBlue has a long history of dedicating individual aircraft to prominent regional sports franchises.
The carrier previously designed special aircraft wraps celebrating several major teams based in the New England market.
Those tribute planes include custom paint schemes dedicated to the Boston Bruins, Boston Celtics, and Boston Red Sox.
In the New York metropolitan region, the airline operates aircraft honoring the Brooklyn Nets and the NFL's New York Jets.
JetBlue has also rolled out specialized liveries outside the world of sports, including a tribute to the FDNY and an official I Love New York design.
The carrier even maintains a dedicated corporate plane highlighting its commercial partnership with Dunkin'.
The addition of "Go Cats Go" expands that specialty collection directly into the heart of South Florida sports culture.
WHAT LIES AHEAD ON THE ICE
While commercial passengers board Air Cat One, the Panthers players remain focused on navigating a busy regular-season schedule.
Florida prepares for Game No. 17 of the campaign on Saturday afternoon when they travel to face the Washington Capitals.

Puck drop is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.
Local television coverage will be handled by Scripps Sports across regional affiliates WSFL 39 in Miami and Fort Lauderdale, WHDT 9 in West Palm Beach, and LAFF 36.3 in Southwest Florida.
Digital viewers can access the live game broadcast through Panthers+ or ESPN+.
Radio coverage will broadcast over the airwaves via WQAM, WBZT 1230-AM in Palm Beach, and WCTH 100.3-FM in the Florida Keys, alongside SiriusXM and the NHL App.
The matchup represents the first of three scheduled regular-season meetings between the two Eastern Conference clubs.
Florida travels back to Washington for a rematch on November 27 before hosting the Capitals in South Florida on February 3.
The Panthers swept the regular-season series against Washington last year by winning all three matchups.
Over their historical regular-season ledger, the Capitals hold the series advantage with a 70-49-14 record along with nine ties.
Following Saturday's contest in the nation's capital, the Panthers return home quickly for a Sunday afternoon showdown against the Boston Bruins at 1 p.m.
As the team chases another championship run on the ice, its signature colors will be cruising thousands of feet above commercial flight paths across North America.
