BACKGROUND ON JACOBS’ RETURN
Jacobs missed time on the NFL’s commissioner’s exempt list.
He is back in action, and his return has been quite eventful.
With questionable celebrations, in addition to more abuse allegations, Jacobs was approached by reporters if it’s becoming a distraction for the team.
He defended himself and his character.
“It’s one of those things for me where it’s like, it really feels like an attack on me and who I am and my character,” Jacobs said.
“And at the end of the day, there’s a lot of stuff being said about me that’s completely false -- like, completely made up, and it’s like people just run with it. And I can’t change that.”
“It’s just one of those things where it’s like, OK, all I can do is try to be who I am and try not to let the negative moments change who I am. And that was the biggest thing for me throughout this whole process. I didn’t want to go to a place where I felt like I was closed off and I’m angry all the time because of what’s going on in my life.”
Upon Jacobs’ return, more allegations began to come to light.
Some put Jacobs chances of playing further this season in doubt.
The former Alabama running back addressed those allegations as well.
“With all the evidence that we have and that they have at this point, it’s not one of those things where I’m sitting back on my hands like, ‘OK, am I going to play this week?’” Jacobs said.

“It’s like, I kind of already know what it is, so it’s like ... it’s really just up to them to make their final decision. But like I’m not worried about feeling like I’m going to miss any more time than I already have.”
FANTASY PRODUCTION SINCE RETURN
Jacobs has scored three touchdowns in two weeks.
But he hasn't done anything we didn't see MarShawn Lloyd do, and no one wants any part of him.
In an elite matchup against the Carolina Panthers in Week 8, he carried the ball 21 times for 39 yards at 1.9 yards per carry.
He caught six passes for 13 yards.
The week looked good because of the touchdowns, but that efficiency is horrific.
Then you also have a potential looming suspension on top of his poor play.
If the allegations keep piling up, and his play doesn't warrant the headache, he becomes more likely to be sidelined.
WEEK 9 MATCHUP
The Packers face the New England Patriots in Week 9.
New England's defense has been middling against the run this season.
Jacobs' receiving role gives him a safe floor in PPR formats.
But his rushing efficiency remains a major concern.
THE COMMISSIONER’S EXEMPT LIST
The NFL’s commissioner’s exempt list is a process that allows the league to place a player on paid leave while an investigation is ongoing.
A player on the list cannot practice or play until the investigation concludes.
Jacobs was placed on the list earlier this season.
He has since been removed and has returned to the active roster.
THE ALLEGATIONS
Three more women have come forward with accusations against Jacobs.
Jacobs denies all three new allegations.
He expects no further NFL suspension.
The NFL’s investigation continues.

ANALYST REACTIONS
One analyst called out head coach Matt LaFleur for what they described as a 'cowardly' stance on Jacobs.
Another said the coach's remark was 'extremely weak' and 'sidesteps the question.'
These comments reflect the growing tension around Jacobs’ situation.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
Jacobs is a high-risk, high-reward play in Week 9.
His workload is elite: 21 carries and 6 catches in his last game.
His efficiency is terrible: 1.9 yards per carry against a weak defense.
His off-field situation adds uncertainty.
If you need a safe floor, consider other options.
If you need upside and can stomach the risk, Jacobs could deliver another multi-touchdown game.
RECOMMENDATION
Start Jacobs only if you need the volume and can absorb a potential dud.
Sit him if you have a more reliable option with a safer floor.
Monitor the NFL’s investigation closely.
Any new development could change Jacobs’ availability instantly.
FINAL VERDICT
Week 9 Josh Jacobs is a volatile fantasy asset.
The touchdowns mask the inefficiency.
The allegations add risk.
The matchup against New England is neutral.
Make your decision based on your risk tolerance.
