Rob Gronkowski Fires Back at Turning Point USA Election Day Rumors

Former Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski pushes back on reports linking him to Turning Point USA.

The four-time Super Bowl champion released a statement on Instagram Thursday, November 5, addressing the controversy.

Gronkowski was seen taking pictures with voters at polling places in New Hampshire on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3.

Photos and videos from the day sparked questions about his involvement with the right-wing nonprofit Turning Point USA.

"It has been upsetting and eye opening to see the narratives around my visit to NH on Election Day with Camille," Gronkowski wrote in an Instagram Stories post.

He clarified directly: "In regard to the images and videos circulating we are not endorsed by or affiliated with Turning Point USA."

Gronkowski explained that he and his partner, Camille Kostek, had simply stopped to greet fans after visiting Goffstown High School.

"We took photos with people across the political spectrum throughout that morning," he wrote.

The former tight end said excited fans called out their names while they crossed the street, and the couple stopped for photographs.

He signed several items before leaving, according to his statement.

Gronkowski rejected the way media outlets presented the interaction.

"We cannot control what the media has made of it and running with – so we are here to shut down the false narratives," he added.

He expressed disappointment that a brief interaction had become a political controversy.

"It's disappointing to see an innocent moment stripped of context and turned into clickbait," Gronkowski wrote.

He closed his statement by stressing that his message remains focused on kindness.

"Our message has always been and always will be to treat everyone with kindness and hope you all will do the same," Gronkowski wrote.

The statement comes as Gronkowski prepares for a major milestone.

On Saturday, the "Gronk Spike" will officially be immortalized as he is inducted into the New England Patriots Hall of Fame.

Gronkowski will become the 38th member of the Patriots organization to be inducted into the team's Hall of Fame.

He joins other second-dynasty players like Vince Wilfork, Julian Edelman and Tom Brady in wearing the red jacket.

Gronkowski has more receiving touchdowns than any other Patriots player with 79.

He ranks second in receiving yards with 7,861 and fifth in receptions with 521.

The dominant tight end played nine seasons in New England and joined Brady in Tampa Bay for two more.

He achieved a total of four Super Bowl victories in his career: XLIX, LI, LIII and LV.

The 6-foot-6, 265-pound force is often described as the "greatest tight end of all time."

Gronkowski was one of several former athletes seen at New Hampshire polling locations on Election Day.

Professional boxer Floyd Mayweather was also spotted at polling places in the state.

Reports connected Gronkowski's appearance to Turning Point USA's Election Day activities.

Turning Point USA is a right-wing nonprofit that focuses on youth outreach and conservative activism.

The organization has been involved in voter outreach and poll-watching efforts during elections.

Gronkowski's denial makes clear he wants the public to separate a fan interaction from political involvement.

This is a developing story, and more information may become available as the situation unfolds.

The controversy highlights how quickly a simple photo opportunity can become a political flashpoint.

Gronkowski's response on Instagram Stories was his first public statement on the matter.

The former Patriots legend has largely stayed out of political controversies during his career.

His focus has remained on football, endorsements and entertainment appearances since retiring.

Gronkowski's Hall of Fame induction ceremony is expected to draw a large crowd of Patriots fans.

Team owner Robert Kraft will miss the ceremony due to a health scare, according to reports.

Gronkowski's place in Patriots history is secure regardless of the Election Day controversy.

His 79 receiving touchdowns are a franchise record that may stand for years.

No tight end in NFL history has matched his combination of size, speed and production.

Comparisons to Travis Kelce and Tony Gonzalez will continue, but Gronkowski's playoff dominance sets him apart.

In Super Bowl XLIX, he made an empowering catch over Seahawks linebacker K.J. Wright for a touchdown.
