Sami Zayn Just Silenced Every Hater With One Match

WWE Crown Jewel 2026 Predictions And Fantasy Booking: Roman Reigns Vs Sami Zayn, And Tiffany Stratton Cashes In

The WWE heads to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for Crown Jewel 2026, which will take place at 12:00 PM EST.

As of now, we have a four-match card, featuring both Crown Jewel Title matches, a Last Man Standing match, and a Tag Team Title match.

There has been plenty of speculation that we could also get Gunther vs. Finn Balor, but that is yet to be announced.

We are here to fantasy book and give our predictions for all the matches.

With every match being for a title or having a no DQ style stipulation, there will be plenty of fantasy points to be earned at this PLE.

But the story that has everyone talking right now is Sami Zayn.

The WWE Champion sat down with Cathy Kelley for an interview that dropped on November 4, 2026.

It was focused on Zayn's Crown Jewel title match with World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns on Saturday in Riyadh.

Sami was again contrasting his honest confessions of self-doubt to the supreme confidence the OTC exudes.

It eventually led to Zayn making a claim about his career that many now say is hard to argue with.

"No one, no one in the history of this business has done more with less than I have," Zayn said.

"No one. And it's not even close, okay? It's not even close."

That quote has sparked intense debate across the wrestling world.

Cageside Seats reported that the interview may have just settled arguments about his greatness.

The outlet noted that Zayn is absolutely doing some of the very best work of his career.

He is delivering his best promos, with recent takedowns of Trick Williams and Roman Reigns standing out.

He has been doing incredible character work for years, but it feels like everything else caught up the moment he won the WWE championship.

He is truly worthy of holding the title, and many see no reason to take it off him anytime soon.

The responses and reactions from fans have been quite varied.

One fan pointed out that earlier this year many had written Zayn off as ever even having a chance of being a main event-level act again.

Another reiterated that idea while arguing that Sami, while great, is not only currently overrated, but is also the prime example of internet wrestling fandom's fickle nature.

Between diehard Steenerico marks and those reminding us about the digital world's recency bias and love of extremes, the conversation has gotten closest to an accurate evaluation of Zayn's standing when distinctions and qualifiers are offered.

The numbers back up the buzz.

The Friday, October 30 WWE Friday Night SmackDown averaged 1.162 million viewers for USA Network, according to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics.com.

The number was up compared to the previous episode's 1.1 million average.

SmackDown finished with a 0.26 rating in the 18-49 demographic, up compared to the prior week's 0.24 rating.

The October 23 SmackDown ran against the first game of the World Series, which averaged 12.26 million viewers across Fox Sports, Fox Deportes, and Univision.

So while the October 30 numbers were higher, the better comparison is the 1.327 million average and 0.32 rating produced by the October 16 SmackDown.

One year earlier, the October 31, 2025, SmackDown averaged 933,000 viewers and a 0.20 rating for USA Network for a show that ran against Game 6 of the World Series.

The Miz has also weighed in, saying Sami Zayn deserves the locker room's respect.

TJR Wrestling reported that WWE Champion Sami Zayn made a major confession, calling his position a gift and a curse.

Sami Zayn vs. Trick Williams for the WWE Championship on the October 30 SmackDown was the main event that drew those numbers.

Now Zayn steps into the biggest match of his career at Crown Jewel.

He faces Roman Reigns, the World Heavyweight Champion, in a match that will unify or at least pit the two top champions against each other.

Yahoo Sports ran a preview asking the question: Can Sami Zayn actually pull this off?

Trick Williams is also said to be owed one more crack at Sami Zayn, according to Yahoo Sports.
