Thomas Markle in crisis talks with Meghan's half-sister Samantha

Thomas Markle received a visit from his daughter Samantha Markle for long “crisis talks,” according to sources who spoke to The Sun.

Meghan’s half-sister, 61, visited her father at his care home in Florida on Wednesday.

The meeting lasted an unusually long time.

Sources told The Sun: “It was very odd. She was there for an unusually long time — they had a lot to discuss.”

Since that meeting, Samantha has stopped speaking about the allegations on social media.

The talks centered on an FBI investigation, according to the same sources.

This development comes as the investigation into Thomas Markle Sr. continues to escalate.

Philippine authorities have been investigating the 82-year-old since October over allegations he possessed child sexual abuse material.

Thomas Markle Sr. has not been charged.

He has vehemently denied the allegations, calling them “sick lies” in an interview with the Daily Mail.

“I’m shocked, I’m hurt and I’m very upset that my son is making these accusations against me,” he told the newspaper.

“I could never do what I’m being accused of. It’s the worst thing anyone could accuse me of.”

On Thursday, Philippine Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla announced a stunning update.

Meghan Markle’s half-brother, Thomas Markle Jr., 60, has been named a person of interest in the investigation.

“To accuse the father only is only half the police work,” Remulla said, as per News5 Philippines.

He confirmed a witness alleged that underage girls had been brought to a residence linked to the investigation.

“There are signs that point that the son is involved in the crime as well but only as a person of interest so far,” Remulla said.

Markle Jr. is not yet being treated as a suspect.

“We will know in the next week,” Remulla added in a video shared by Reuters.

According to Remulla, around 7,500 sensitive materials of underage males and females were uncovered on devices found in Markle Sr.’s belongings.

“They presented it to me but I didn’t want to look because I can’t unsee it,” Remulla said.

“It is the most deplorable displays of impunity towards sexual activity that I have ever seen. It’s really, really disturbing.”

The FBI is assisting the Philippines government in identifying the devices’ registration.

Six phones had come from the United States.

The investigation began after Markle Jr. allegedly found a trove of child sex images in his father’s former home in Cebu, Philippines.

Markle Jr. told Philippine police that after his father left the Philippines in May, he discovered images of child sexual abuse material among boxes at the property.

He turned the materials over to local police.

In October, the Daily Mail claimed to have found disturbing child pornography during a raid of a Mexico storage unit rented by Thomas Markle Sr.

Thomas Markle Sr. told the Daily Mail that the computers had not been in his possession since he left Mexico in January 2025.

He said he did not know who had access to them.

He said he would welcome a forensic examination of the devices.

In a separate interview with the Mail on Sunday, he said: “I have never had sex with anyone under the age of 18.”

He added that if there was anything bad on his devices, “it was put there by someone else,” according to the Daily Telegraph.

Remulla told the Guardian on Oct. 25 that investigators were considering all angles because the case involved a family dispute.
