Brandi Glanville Defends Podcast Ultimatum And Reveals Lawyers Are Involved Over Unpaid Money

Brandi Glanville is not backing down.
The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star publicly defended giving her former podcast co-host James Maas an ultimatum — and revealed that lawyers are now involved over money she says she is still owed.
In a blunt social media post on November 3, 2026, Glanville called out Maas for what she described as “hypocrisy and bullsh*t” after he addressed their recent fallout on his own new podcast.
Glanville’s post laid out her side of the story in plain terms.
“I told my xcohost 2choose between working w/me on my pod or doing a pod with the last company I left who still admittedly owes me $ havent paid&lawyers are now involved,” she wrote.
She added: “He also wanted to cover the same content as my pod #CONFLICT OF INTEREST it’s common FN sense.”
The post came just days after Page Six reported that Glanville and Maas had ended their professional partnership.
According to an unnamed source cited by Page Six, the split happened after Glanville gave Maas an ultimatum.
Maas had reportedly received an offer to host a new daily entertainment news podcast called The Daily Skinny, produced by Straw Hut Media — the same production company behind Brandi Glanville Unfiltered.
The source claimed that Maas initially hoped to do both shows, but Glanville demanded he choose one.
Maas ultimately chose his solo podcast, according to the report.
The source further alleged that Glanville removed Maas from everything associated with Brandi Glanville Unfiltered after he made his decision.
Maas addressed the situation on his own show, The Daily Skinny With James Maas, before Glanville’s response.

“I went back and forth on whether I should do this one today, but it was number three on the list,” he began.
“I initially said, ‘No, thank you,’ but here we are.”
Maas expressed nothing but appreciation for Glanville during his remarks.
“I have nothing but love for Brandi,” he said, describing her as a “legend.”
He revealed the two had been “friends for a long time” and thanked her for including him on Unfiltered.
“I thank her for all the time on Unfiltered,” Maas said.
“We’ve had a blast. She’s awesome. [But] ultimately, we couldn’t do two of the same shows.”
He explained his reasoning: “I felt like this one was a little different because it’s daily and it’s 10 minutes, and we were covering a lot of Housewives on the other one. But I love her.”
Maas also acknowledged that “no one would even care about [him] or anything [he] was doing if it wasn’t for [Brandi].”
“So I am sending Brandi love, and I also hope that we both have two successful shows,” he concluded.
“And, you know, hers has been around forever. She’s an OG of podcasting. She literally invented it, and I will always love her and have a soft spot for her.”
Glanville’s response directly contradicted the idea that the split was amicable.
Her claim that lawyers are now involved escalates what began as a professional disagreement into a potentially legal dispute.

Glanville did not specify how much money she says the company still owes her, nor did she name the company directly in her post.
But her reference to “the last company I left” appears to point to Straw Hut Media, which produces both Brandi Glanville Unfiltered and The Daily Skinny.
Neither Glanville nor Maas has provided further details about the alleged unpaid money.
Representatives for both parties had not responded to requests for comment at the time of the initial Page Six report.
The working relationship between Glanville and Maas began in August 2023.
For over three years, they co-hosted Brandi Glanville Unfiltered, a podcast that covered celebrity controversies, reality television disputes and personal experiences.
The show gave Glanville a platform to discuss aspects of her life beyond RHOBH, including her health challenges and financial struggles.
Glanville first appeared on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills during its second season in 2011.
She became a full-time cast member for Season 3 and remained in that role through Season 5.
She has made a number of guest appearances in the years since.
The fallout raises questions about the future of Brandi Glanville Unfiltered.
Neither Glanville nor Maas has confirmed whether the podcast will continue with a new co-host or if Glanville plans to host it alone.
For fans, the situation presents a clear divide.
Did Brandi have every right to give James an ultimatum, or should he have been allowed to do both shows?
