Chisora Exposes Shocking Secrets From Joshua’s Fury Camp

Derek Chisora has a direct line into Anthony Joshua’s training camp, and he likes what he’s hearing.
Chisora, a longtime friend of Joshua who lost three times to Fury, told talkSPORT that he checks in with Joshua every week.
“I speak to [Joshua] every Friday after his week of training camp,” Chisora said.
“I send him a message asking him how it was, and he said ‘yeah I’m killing it.’”
“So that is all I need to know, he’s killing it.”
Joshua faces Tyson Fury on December 11 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff.
The fight is scheduled to be streamed live on Netflix.
Fury is 38 years old. Joshua is 37.
The fight was first floated as a possibility back in 2016.
Many observers think it has come too late for both men.
Chisora disagrees.
“I am so excited about it,” he said.
“We are not getting it too late, it is at the right time.”

Joshua has won his last two fights.
He stopped Jake Paul in six rounds.
He also got up off the canvas to beat Kristian Prenga.
Chisora believes power is Joshua’s path to victory.
“Both fighters have something to prove still in the ring,” Chisora said.
“AJ has to knock him out in the first six rounds.”
“After that it is a long night, but AJ has the power to knock out Tyson any round.”
Chisora then compared the two fighters’ punching power.
“But has Tyson got that same power? No,” Chisora said.
“However, what Tyson will do is make the fight at a higher pace.”
“He has the endurance to sustain it for 12 rounds, and throw a higher volume of punches.”
Chisora, 42, was expected to retire after his April loss to Deontay Wilder.
He has not fully committed to retirement.

Wilder is now set for the Fury vs. Joshua card against Jai Opetaia.
Fury has blasted Wilder for fighting on the undercard.
Fury fumed that Wilder “shouldn’t be in a ring.”
Meanwhile, a separate injury rumor has emerged about Fury.
Former WBC heavyweight champion Frank Bruno claimed Fury suffered an undisclosed injury.
“I looked at him the other day, and I think someone was talking to me in the gym that he’s got some injury, which may stop him from going into the fight with Joshua,” Bruno told Tony Bellow.
“And having that on your head ain’t nice.”
Fury’s camp has denied the injury claim.
Sky Sports reported that Fury’s team denied the claim to them directly.
“The Fury-Joshua fight is set to go ahead as scheduled,” Sky Sports wrote.
The fight is due to begin at around 1 a.m. in the early hours of Saturday, December 12.
The Principality Stadium will remain open until 3:30 a.m.
Fury recently said he intends to continue boxing after this fight.

“I’m going to continue,” Fury told WSVN Miami from his training camp.
“I’ve got two fights left on my contract. I’ll finish the contract off and then probably sign another 10-fight deal. Who knows?”
“If the money’s right sign another 10 fights, but they’ve got to be quick because I’m getting older.”
“And when it’s gone it’s gone. I’m coming up to fight No 40.”
Fury’s record stands at 36 wins, 2 losses, and 1 draw, with 25 knockouts.
Joshua’s record is 30 wins and 4 losses, with 27 knockouts.
Fury ended his second retirement to stop Mariusz Wach last July in Thailand.
Joshua bounced back from a car wreck overseas to beat Kristian Prenga in Saudi Arabia.
The fight is for the WBA (Super) heavyweight title.
It has been years of back-and-forth negotiations to get this fight made.
Now it is finally happening, with less than six weeks to go.
Chisora’s inside information gives a rare glimpse into Joshua’s mindset.
He speaks to Joshua every Friday without fail.

Joshua’s consistent answer — “I’m killing it” — suggests confidence.
But Chisora also laid out a clear strategy.
Joshua must win early or risk fading.
“After that it is a long night,” Chisora warned.
Fury’s stamina and volume punching could take over in the later rounds.
Chisora acknowledged that Fury can sustain a high pace for all 12 rounds.
Joshua’s power is his best weapon.
Chisora said Joshua has the power to knock out Fury in any round.
He said Fury does not have the same one-punch power.
The injury rumor from Bruno adds uncertainty.
Bruno did not specify what the injury is.
He only said someone in a gym told him about it.
Fury’s camp has dismissed the claim.

But the rumor has already spread across multiple boxing news outlets.
MMA Mania, The Mirror, and Manchester Evening News all picked it up.
Sky Sports reported the denial from Fury’s camp.
For now, the fight remains on schedule.
Both fighters are in training camp.
Chisora will be watching closely.
He has been on both sides of the ring with Fury.
He knows what it takes.
And he believes Joshua has what it takes.
The question is whether Joshua can execute the early knockout Chisora predicts.
If he does not, Fury’s endurance could carry him to a decision win.
Either way, December 11 will settle years of debate.
Chisora summed it up simply: “Whatever happens it is going to be an exciting fight on December 11.”
