Enzo Amore Reportedly Back in WWE After Surprise New Deal

Some in WWE reportedly believe Enzo Amore signed with the company within the last week.
That is according to a new report from PWInsider Elite, cited by Wrestle Purists.
The report states there is a belief among people backstage that Amore reached an agreement with WWE.
One source indicated that Amore could be headed to NXT.
WWE has not officially confirmed the signing or announced any plans for his return.
Amore has been gone from WWE since January 22, 2018.
He was released amid allegations of sexual assault, which he denied.
Police closed the investigation later that year due to insufficient evidence.
Before his release, Amore was the reigning WWE Cruiserweight Champion.
He had a near six-year run in the company.
Amore began in NXT, where viewers first saw his pairing with Big Cass.
The duo moved up to the main roster and became one of WWE's most popular tag teams.
They were known for their crowd interactions and distinctive promos.
In 2017, the team broke up to become singles performers.

Amore's release came shortly after the split.
Over the last eight-plus years, he has made frequent appearances across the independent scene.
He has wrestled under the names nZo and Real1.
He has also appeared for promotions including TNA Wrestling and Major League Wrestling.
He competed as recently as October 24, 2026.
His relationship with WWE was further complicated in November 2018.
He attended Survivor Series at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

During the event, he stood on his seat and caused a disruption.
Security removed him from the arena.
He was subsequently banned from attending future events at the venue.
Despite those circumstances, recent reports suggest WWE may be preparing to welcome him back.
Speculation about Amore's future has intensified in recent weeks.
Big Cass made his WWE return during the August 3, 2026, edition of Monday Night Raw.
He appeared following Je'Von Evans' victory over Ethan Page.

Cass has remained a regular presence on WWE television since his comeback.
Amore has yet to make an appearance despite ongoing rumors about a reunion.
In October, WrestleVotes Radio reported that speculation surrounding Amore's potential comeback had become a factor in WWE's creative direction for Cass.
According to that report, "there is a feeling in WWE creative that the audience is waiting for Enzo Amore, and that this is hampering what creative can do with Big Cass."
The latest report from PWInsider Elite adds further intrigue.
Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com previously reported that Enzo Amore's move to NXT was close to being finalized.
Meltzer also reported that WWE reportedly considered keeping him separate from Big Cass.

"There was talk of Enzo in NXT," Meltzer explained.
"It was talked to me like it was pretty much a done deal, but they were gonna keep Enzo and Cass apart because of the idea that if they put them together, Cass's upside is very limited in that tag team based on how WWE does tag teams."
That suggests WWE may have different plans for the two performers should Amore return.
As of this writing, Amore's reported signing has not been officially confirmed by WWE.
There is no announced timetable for a potential television appearance.
Whether he resurfaces in WWE soon remains to be seen.
The backstage belief surrounding his status adds further intrigue to the possibility of Enzo Amore and Big Cass sharing a WWE ring once again.
For now, fans will have to wait for official word from WWE.
We will provide any further updates on Enzo Amore's potential WWE return as soon as we hear more.
