Enzo Amore Reportedly Backstage at NXT After New WWE Deal

Speculation regarding a potential WWE return for Enzo Amore continues to make the rounds.

The former WWE Superstar has reportedly been discussed internally for a possible comeback for several months.

His name initially surfaced in connection with Big Cass' return to the company.

Although nothing has materialized on that front, there continues to be talk within WWE about bringing Amore back into the fold.

One source recently reported that multiple people within WWE believe Amore is on his way back to the company.

His return has yet to be officially confirmed.

In an interesting development, Amore was reportedly backstage at the WWE Performance Center during the November 4 episode of NXT.

TNA Wrestling star Joe Alonzo was also said to be visiting the facility that evening.

Amore has also explored opportunities outside of WWE.

Sources within AEW indicated earlier this year that the former Cruiserweight Champion had tested the waters regarding a potential move to the promotion.

Fightful Select reported that Amore was present at the Performance Center during the November 4 episode of WWE NXT.

This adds another development to the ongoing discussions about his possible return to the company.

A separate report from Wrestling Headlines recently indicated that multiple individuals within WWE believe Amore is on his way back to the promotion.

However, WWE has not officially confirmed his return.

There has been no public announcement regarding a new contract or potential television appearance.

During his previous WWE run, Amore became a recognizable personality through his partnership with Big Cass.

The duo established themselves as a popular act in NXT before moving to the main roster.

Amore later competed in WWE's cruiserweight division, where he captured the Cruiserweight Championship.

His reported presence at the Performance Center is the latest indication that a potential return remains under discussion.

A backstage visit does not necessarily mean that a deal has been finalized.

For now, it remains unclear whether Amore will return to WWE programming.

It is also unclear whether he would potentially reunite with Big Cass or pursue another opportunity outside the company.

Big Cass himself returned to WWE from AEW earlier this year.

Cass is currently wrestling on Raw as an ally to new WWE Intercontinental Champion Ethan Page.

In previous reporting, it was suggested that Amore would be returning to WWE as part of the NXT brand and not the WWE main roster.

That information was surprising to some given his previous tag team with Big Cass.

Amore had raised eyebrows earlier this year when a video featuring him and Maven Huffman saw him be highly critical of AEW.

It was later revealed the video had been filmed a year before it was posted.

Amore was highly complimentary of the promotion for their handling of the death of his friend PAC.

Wrestling Inc. reported that Fightful could not confirm that Amore had signed with WWE.

Fightful noted that Amore and Alonzo were merely visiting.

His presence at the tapings sends a strong signal that Amore could be back in the WWE fold.

It has been quite the 2026 for Enzo Amore, especially since he hasn't appeared on American wrestling TV at all.

And yet, Amore has often been in the news.

He was rumored to be returning to WWE earlier this year after being spotted at the Performance Center.

That return did not materialize.

Recent reports now suggest he would be coming back to WWE after all.

That speculation will only continue after this latest development.

Amore was fired by WWE in 2018 amid allegations of sexual assault and misconduct.

He was released from his contract in January 2018 after a woman accused him of rape.

The criminal investigation into the allegation was later dropped due to insufficient evidence.
