Enzo Amore Spotted Backstage at WWE NXT — Is a Return Coming?

Potentially Returning Star Enzo Amore Reportedly Visited Backstage At WWE NXT.

Fightful Select reported that Enzo Amore and TNA wrestler Joe Alonzo were both at the WWE Performance Center on Wednesday, November 4, 2026.

They were there prior to that night's episode of WWE NXT on The CW.

The episode had moved from its usual Tuesday slot because of midterm election coverage.

Fightful could not confirm that Amore had signed a contract with WWE.

They noted that Amore and Alonzo were merely visiting.

But his presence at the tapings sends a strong signal that Amore could be back in the WWE fold.

This is not the first time Amore has been linked to a WWE return in 2026.

Earlier this year, he was spotted at the WWE Performance Center, sparking rumors that he would be coming back.

That return did not materialize at the time.

Then, recent reports suggested he would be coming back to WWE after all.

In previous reporting, it was suggested that Amore would be returning to WWE as part of the NXT brand.

That information was surprising to some given his previous tag team with Big Cass.

Big Cass — whose real name is William Morrissey — himself returned to WWE from AEW earlier this year.

Cass is currently wrestling on Monday Night Raw as an ally to new WWE Intercontinental Champion Ethan Page.

WWE may not have been Amore's only option this year.

Those within AEW say the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion had "tested the waters" about potentially joining them earlier this year.

It is unclear whether AEW had any interest in signing Amore.

It is also unclear if the two sides had any significant talks.

Amore raised eyebrows earlier this year when a video featuring him and Maven Huffman saw him be highly critical of AEW.

It was later revealed that the video had been filmed a year before it was posted.

In that same video, Amore was highly complimentary of the promotion for their handling of the death of his friend PAC.

Enzo Amore — real name Eric Arndt — first gained fame in WWE as part of the tag team Enzo & Cass.

They debuted on NXT in 2013 and quickly became one of the most popular acts in the brand's history.

Amore's catchphrases — "How you doin'?" and "You can't teach that" — became fan favorites.

The duo moved to the main roster in 2016 and had a memorable run on Raw.

Amore later won the WWE Cruiserweight Championship in 2017.

His WWE career came to an abrupt end in 2018 when he was released amid allegations of sexual assault.

Amore was never charged with a crime.

He has not appeared on American wrestling television since his release.

He has made sporadic appearances on the independent circuit.

Joe Alonzo, who accompanied Amore to the Performance Center, is a TNA Wrestling talent.

Alonzo has also worked on the independent scene.

His presence alongside Amore has led to speculation about a potential tag team or stable in NXT.

Fightful Select subscribers received the news first, as part of the service's breaking news coverage.

The report was published on November 5, 2026.

Wrestling Inc. also covered the story, citing Fightful's reporting.

As of now, WWE has not made any official announcement regarding Amore.

NXT General Manager Ava has not commented on the visit.

It remains unclear whether Amore will appear on NXT television in the coming weeks.

The November 4 episode of NXT featured several notable moments.

Paige made a surprise appearance to face NXT Women's Champion Kelani Jordan.

Paige's appearance was reportedly put together at the last minute.

UFC star Michael Chandler also appeared on the show.

Chandler tried to interfere in a match and was launched through the ropes.

The Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic winners were also crowned that night.

Enzo Amore's potential return would add a major name to the NXT roster.

NXT has been building its brand since moving to The CW in 2025.
