Fergie and Andrew split homes after 20 years but stay united

Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew no longer share a home.
After roughly 20 years living together at Royal Lodge in Windsor, the former couple has gone separate ways.
Andrew relocated to Marsh Farm on the King’s Sandringham estate in Norfolk.
Ferguson returned to Britain in late summer and secured a six-bedroom rental property in the Home Counties surrounding London.
The specific location has not been disclosed.
Her spokesperson told PEOPLE in a report published November 2 that the two have “an ongoing cordial and supportive relationship as co-parents and co-grandparents.”
That statement, issued through Ferguson’s representative, is the first official confirmation that the living arrangement has changed.
It also makes clear the relationship itself has not ended.
Ferguson, 67, spent months largely out of public view before returning to England.
Her representative said she was concentrating on settling in and spending time with her family while considering what to do next.
The split homes mark the end of an era that began when the couple first moved into Royal Lodge after their divorce.
Ferguson and Andrew married in 1986, separated in 1992 and finalized their divorce in 1996.
Despite the divorce, they continued to attend family occasions together and lived under the same roof for two decades.

They have two daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
The family grew again on August 3, when Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank welcomed their daughter Adelaide in Lisbon, Portugal.
Adelaide is their third child and Ferguson’s fifth grandchild.
Eugenie announced her daughter’s full name — Adelaide Elizabeth Annina — two weeks later.
In addition to Adelaide, Ferguson and Andrew are grandparents to Eugenie and Jack’s two older sons, August and Ernest, and to Princess Beatrice’s daughters, Sienna and Athena.
Beatrice is also stepmother to her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi’s son, Christopher Woolf.
That brings the total to six grandchildren in Ferguson’s life.
The decision to leave Royal Lodge was not voluntary.
In October 2025, Buckingham Palace announced that King Charles had begun the formal process of removing Andrew’s remaining royal styles, titles and honors.
The statement also confirmed that notice had been served for him to surrender his Royal Lodge lease and move into private accommodation.
Andrew subsequently relocated to the King’s Sandringham estate.
Ferguson made her own housing arrangements separately.
The Sun reported in August that she had secured a six-bedroom property in the Home Counties.

The rental was covered by Wealth of Geeks.
Ferguson rejoined public life briefly on October 29.
She appeared at St. Paul’s Church in Knightsbridge, London, for a memorial service honoring Paddy McNally, her former boyfriend.
She was accompanied by her two daughters and their respective husbands.
It was the first time Ferguson had been seen since April, when she was photographed at a ski resort in the Austrian Alps.
Her spokesperson told HELLO! that Ferguson is readjusting to life in England and enjoying time with her daughters and grandchildren.
“She is spending time with her children and grandchildren and her relocation to a new home,” the spokesperson said.
“She is quietly refocusing and rebuilding whilst spending valuable time with family and close friends who continue to give support. Her 6 grandchildren are her biggest joy.”
The spokesperson also confirmed that Ferguson and Andrew speak regularly.
“Sarah and Andrew speak regularly and have always had and continue to have unity as co-parents and co-grandparents,” the spokesperson told HELLO!.
The spokesperson would not be drawn on whether Ferguson has met up with her former husband since the move.
Royal commentator Phil Dampier previously told HELLO! that Ferguson was receiving secret visits from her daughters.
“Friends tell me they have both been to see her at her new house in the past couple of weeks,” Dampier said.

The enduring closeness between Ferguson and Andrew has raised eyebrows amid the ongoing controversy surrounding Andrew’s ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Both have kept a low profile since Andrew was stripped of his titles and vacated Royal Lodge.
Ferguson herself has faced scrutiny over her continued association with Andrew.
Yet the couple’s bond has proven resilient.
In a December 2024 interview with The Sunday Times, excerpted by Town & Country, Ferguson recalled first meeting Andrew when she was 12.
Princess Diana brought them back into each other’s lives at Ascot in 1985, and they were engaged six months later.
“I would do it all over again, 100 per cent,” she said of their marriage.
They attended Katharine, Duchess of Kent’s funeral together at Westminster Cathedral on September 16, 2025.
Ferguson has also spoken emotionally about her relationship with the late Queen Elizabeth II.
In a resurfaced 2024 interview, she recalled the final words the Queen spoke to her.
“The Queen never lost me,” Ferguson said.
“The best advice she gave me was the last thing she said to me, ‘Sarah, remember that yourself is good enough.’ It makes me cry.”
She shared the memory while discussing her struggles with food, body image and her mental health following the birth of her first daughter, Princess Beatrice, in 1988.

“I was an addict to food,” Ferguson said.
“The fact I could eat my emotions was the only thing that saved my life. I was huge, more than 14 stone when I had Beatrice in 1988, and I think I had postnatal depression. Everybody said, ‘You’re the Duchess of Pork,’ and I believed my critics.”
Ferguson also spoke warmly about the Queen on the Tea with Twiggy podcast, describing her as her greatest mentor.
“My greatest mentor and… person who believes in me is the Queen – and (that) has never faltered,” she said.
“I absolutely admire the incredible way Her Majesty is so modern… and how flexible, and how understanding, and how forgiving and how generous.
“I think to myself that honestly my mother-in-law has been more of a mother to me than my mother.
“I absolutely think there is no greater mentor because, from a little girl to now, the consistency of Her Majesty has been a great honour, it’s a huge honour – makes me want to cry.”
Ferguson first met Elizabeth after beginning her relationship with Andrew.
The two women developed a close bond through their shared enthusiasm for horses.
Their relationship reportedly continued after Ferguson’s divorce.
The question now is what comes next.
Ferguson is settled in her new home, out of the public eye, focusing on family.
Andrew is living on the Sandringham estate, away from the Windsor compound that housed them for two decades.
They are apart physically, but their spokesperson has made one thing clear: they are not apart in any other sense.
