Fury's mystery injury threatens Joshua fight on Netflix.

Time to panic?

Tyson Fury has 'some injury' which 'may stop him' from boxing Anthony Joshua on Netflix.

That is the claim from former WBC heavyweight champion Frank Bruno.

Bruno made the statement on the Fight Your Corner podcast.

"I looked at him the other day, and I think someone was talking to me in the gym that he's got some injury, which may stop him from going into the fight with Joshua," Bruno told Tony Bellow.

"And having that on your head ain't nice."

The fight is scheduled for Friday, December 11, 2026.

It will take place at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.

The event will be streamed live on Netflix.

Fury and Joshua are two of the biggest names in heavyweight boxing over the last decade.

They have been linked to a fight since 2016.

Many fans believed it would never happen.

Now it is finally on the calendar.

But Bruno's comments have cast doubt on whether it will actually take place.

Fury's mystery injury threatens Joshua fight on Netflix.

Fury's camp has denied the injury claims.

A representative for Fury told Sky Sports News that the fight is set to go ahead as scheduled.

No official statement has been released by Fury himself.

Fury is 38 years old.

He holds a professional record of 36 wins, 2 losses, and 1 draw, with 25 knockouts.

He ended his second retirement to fight Mariusz Wach last July in Thailand.

That fight was a tune-up for the Joshua bout.

Joshua is 37 years old.

He holds a record of 30 wins and 4 losses, with 27 knockouts.

He bounced back from a car wreck to beat Kristian Prenga in Saudi Arabia.

Joshua also defeated Jake Paul in his previous fight.

Derek Chisora, a longtime friend of Joshua, has been giving updates on his camp.

Chisora told talkSPORT that he speaks to Joshua every Friday.

"I speak to him every Friday after his week of training camp," Chisora said.

"I send him a message asking him how it was, and he said 'yeah I'm killing it.'"

"So that is all I need to know, he's killing it."

Chisora believes Joshua has the power to win.

"AJ has to knock him out in the first six rounds," Chisora said.

"After that it is a long night, but AJ has the power to knock out Tyson any round."

"But has Tyson got that same power? No."

Chisora thinks Fury will rely on endurance and volume punching.

"However, what Tyson will do is make the fight at a higher pace," Chisora said.

"He has the endurance to sustain it for 12 rounds, and throw a higher volume of punches."

The fight is for the WBA (Super) heavyweight title.

It will be Fury's first defense of that belt since coming out of retirement.

The undercard includes Deontay Wilder fighting Jai Opetaia.

Fury has publicly criticized Wilder for being on the card.

He told reporters that Wilder "shouldn't be in a ring."

The fight is expected to begin around 1 a.m. local time on Saturday, December 12.

Principality Stadium will remain open until 3:30 a.m.

Fury recently said he plans to continue boxing after this fight.

"I'm going to continue," Fury told WSVN Miami from his training camp.

"I've got two fights left on my contract."

"I'll finish the contract off and then probably sign another 10-fight deal."

"Who knows?"

"If the money's right sign another 10 fights, but they've got to be quick because I'm getting older."

"And when it's gone it's gone."

"I'm coming up to fight No. 40."

Frank Bruno's claim has not been independently verified.

No medical report has been released.

No trainer or cornerman has confirmed the injury.

Fury has not addressed the rumor directly.

The denial from his camp is the only official response so far.

Bruno is a respected figure in British boxing.

He held the WBC heavyweight title in the 1990s.

He fought Mike Tyson and Lennox Lewis during his career.

His comments carry weight in the boxing community.

But without confirmation, the status of the fight remains uncertain.

Fans are watching closely for any update from Fury or his team.
