Prince Harry made a surprise appearance in London on November 5, 2026, attending the Wanderlust Reader Travel Awards.

He delivered a keynote address at the event.

The Duke of Sussex, 42, spoke about his environmental tourism initiative, Travalyst.

“I founded Travalyst in 2019 because I believe that an industry built on extraordinary places of our world has both a responsibility and a business imperative to protect it,” Harry said, according to People.

The appearance came just days after an unannounced solo trip to New York City.

Harry was spotted at the Lotte New York Palace hotel on Monday evening, November 2, 2026.

A source told People that Harry was seen in conversation with another person inside the hotel’s Gold Room, a historic lounge featuring opulent Gilded Age gold decor.

The Gold Room is also a filming location from the TV series “Gossip Girl,” serving as the residence of characters Chuck Bass and Serena van der Woodsen.

Harry’s representative confirmed the New York trip was for business.

“The duke had a number of meetings in New York focused on new business opportunities and partnerships,” the rep told People.

“Further details will be shared in due course,” the rep added.

The trip was brief.

Harry was back in London by Wednesday, November 5, to give his speech at the travel awards.

Branding expert Eric Schiffer, chairman of Reputation Management Consultants, told Page Six in September that Harry can command nearly $1 million for exclusive speaking engagements.

“Harry’s royal title and persona can still do damage to an event budget,” Schiffer told Page Six.

“For a keynote, he’s getting anywhere from $250,000 to $750,000 and for elite, exclusive events close to $1 million,” Schiffer said.

However, he noted that “not every one of these stops is a cash grab with hidden checks.”

Next week, on November 10, 2026, Harry is slated to make a meaningful trip to Belgium with his wife, Meghan Markle.

The couple will attend the opening of a Lost Screen Memorial in Brussels.

The memorial commemorates children who have lost their lives due to the harmful effects of social media.

The Duchess of Sussex embarked on a similar endeavor in Geneva, Switzerland in May 2026.

Digital safety, particularly for children, is a cause close to Meghan and Harry’s hearts.

They have partnered with affected families through their Archewell Foundation Parents’ Network.

The news of the Belgium trip comes as Harry and Meghan are expected to spend Christmas in the United Kingdom.

Originally, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were thought to be flying back to the U.S. to spend Christmas with Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland.

According to Hello! magazine, Ragland may actually be traveling to the U.K. instead.

Harry, Meghan, and their children — Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5 — are still not believed to be spending Christmas at Sandringham with the rest of the royal family.

Harry and Meghan last spent Christmas at Sandringham in 2018, which also marked the last time they celebrated the holiday in the U.K.

In 2019, Harry, Meghan, and Archie spent Christmas privately in Canada.

By early 2020, the family had relocated to the U.S. — California, specifically.

The family spent the next six Christmases there at their home in Montecito.

The couple recently moved into a friend’s home in the U.K., according to a Daily Mail report from Monday, November 3, 2026.

Harry and Meghan and their two children had been staying with a wealthy businessman who lives in the Cotswolds since relocating back to Harry’s home country in August 2026.

The family was “living in the main house,” but recently “moved to a property on the estate,” an insider said.

Harry reportedly became friends with the businessman through their mutual support of military charities.

The move has fueled speculation about a possible royal snub.

Harry has not been invited to any official royal family gatherings since returning to the U.K.

Meanwhile, Harry and Meghan’s business endeavors continue to make waves.

They recently lost another top staff member at their Archewell Productions.

Chanel Pysnik, their Head of Nonfiction, Film & TV for the past five and a half years, is leaving the company, Deadline reported on Tuesday, November 4, 2026.

Pysnik executive produced numerous Archewell projects.

In September 2026, Harry discussed his sudden move back to the U.K. while attending the Invictus Spirit Awards.

“The last two weeks have been...it's been eventful,” he explained to Hello! magazine.
