Kanye West’s Yeezy Season 01 Show Stuns Los Angeles

Kanye West returned to the fashion spotlight on Thursday, staging his first formal runway production in four years.

The event, titled Yeezy Season 01, took place at the new Yeezy flagship location in Los Angeles and drew a massive crowd of high-profile collaborators and celebrities.

Music industry heavyweights including Kid Cudi, Big Sean and 2 Chainz were among those in attendance to support the 24-time Grammy winner.

The guest list further highlighted West’s continued influence in the culture, featuring appearances by the Clermont twins and Natalie Nunn.

The show marked a significant milestone for the designer, who has spent much of the last few years away from the traditional fashion circuit.

The presentation serves as a stark contrast to West’s last major runway outing in 2022.

That event was overshadowed by the designer’s inclusion of controversial “White Lives Matter” apparel and was followed by a series of widely condemned public statements.

Following those incidents, the artist faced significant professional fallout and a period of relative isolation from the mainstream industry.

Earlier this year, the rapper took steps toward a public reconciliation by issuing a full-page apology in the Wall Street Journal.

In the statement, he disavowed his previous remarks and provided context regarding his mental health journey.

“I am not a Nazi or an antisemite,” West said in the advertisement, while also detailing how his personal struggles with bipolar disorder have influenced his public actions.

Thursday’s show focused heavily on the aesthetic evolution of the Yeezy brand, emphasizing the minimalist and industrial silhouettes that have become West’s signature.

The new flagship store provided a stark, utilitarian backdrop for the collection, which continues to blur the lines between high fashion and streetwear.

Despite the controversies that have trailed his career, the designer’s ability to attract top-tier talent and generate massive public interest appears largely undiminished as he enters this new chapter of his career.

Plenty of star power was on hand to support West, including his wife Bianca Censori, along with Ye’s four children with ex-wife Kim Kardashian: North, Saint, Psalm and Chicago.

Attendees formed a circle around the white dome structure as models donned black military-style garb, including combat boots, trench coats and leather jackets.

There were also tan boots, along with red pants, sweaters, T-shirts and bomber jackets, with other minimalistic looks resembling earlier Yeezy aesthetic.

As he’s done in the past, Ye previewed unreleased music, providing the soundtrack to the 17-minute runway show, which featured rising rap star Nettspend as one of the models.

“Must be out my mind/ Haven’t felt this way in a long time,” Ye sings over a high-pitched sample and drums.

A second song featured a blaring siren on the production side.

“I went through your phone/ Who the hell is Tone?/ I went through your phone,” Ye repeats on the haunting track.

West posed for photos in the rare public appearance with all four of his children.

North sported her signature neon blue hair, while Saint rocked a gray hoodie and Psalm and Chicago opted for more earthy tones.

On the music front, Ye released his Bully album in March, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200.

He’s been back out touring across the globe for much of 2026, performing in stadiums with spot U.S. dates.

The 49-year-old has a pair of shows left this year, as he’s set to take over AT&T Stadium in Dallas on Saturday (Nov. 7) before heading to Glendale, Ariz., on Nov. 21.

Ye, the musician and designer formerly known as Kanye West, held his first Yeezy runway show in four years on Wednesday night, and the Los Angeles event had a few special guests in the front row, including his 13-year-old daughter, North West.

Accompanied by her three siblings and stepmother Bianca Censori, North West debuted a change in her faux facial piercings.

Confirmed by West and her mother Kim Kardashian as temporary and changed daily, West’s facial dermal piercings are usually placed high by her eyebrows and near the bridge of her nose.

On Wednesday night, however, West opted to place them in the dimples of her cheeks, adding an edge to her icy glam.

West’s signature long bright blue locks were left loose and hanging in a straight sheet with a middle part.

Bleached blonde eyebrows framed West’s eyes, which were a striking blue for the night instead of her natural brown, thanks to contact lenses that were reminiscent of Kanye West’s look at the 2016 Met Gala.

West paired the electric shade with bold winged eyeliner and long, dramatic lashes.

Pale pink blush was placed high on her cheekbones, nearly touching her lower waterline.

Strategically placed contour and highlight added definition to her nose, while a pale pink lip and brown lip liner completed her glam.

When tapping collaborators for high-profile appearances, West often favors her family’s favorites, including celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton, who has a long-standing working relationship with Kardashian.

In recent months, the teen star has begun branching out and building her own roster, including avant-garde makeup artist Skreem, who customized West’s beauty for her Dazed photoshoot and at the SS27 Vetements show during Paris Fashion Week.

Neither a makeup artist or hairstylist has been credited for West’s Wednesday look, but the teen star often frequently dabbles in doing her own makeup and styling wigs.

Held at the new Yeezy flagship in L.A., the controversial rapper’s show drew several notable attendees, including rappers Kid Cudi and Big Sean, TV personality Natalie Nunn — whom West dressed up as for Halloween — and content creators such as Larray and Quenlin Blackwell.

The show was a significant milestone for the designer, who has spent much of the last few years away from the traditional fashion circuit.

That absence followed the 2022 Paris Fashion Week exhibit, at which he wore a “White Lives Matter” shirt.

The fallout from those events was severe, leading to a period of relative isolation from the mainstream industry.

But the January 2026 Wall Street Journal apology appears to have opened a door back into the industry.

In that full-page ad, West explicitly disavowed his previous remarks and provided context regarding his mental health journey.

The New York Times review of the show was titled: “Kanye West’s Latest Fashion Show Is More Rehash Than Reset.”

Page Six focused on Bianca Censori’s catsuit, which plunged past her belly button.

HOLA noted the rare outing with North West and her siblings.
