Kris Jenner Storms Off After Confronting Kim Kardashian Over Tell-All Book

Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lawrence were spotted leaving the Four Seasons Hotel in New York City on November 4 wearing matching pajamas.
Both women laughed together as photographers captured the moment outside the luxury hotel.
The same day, Michael Strahan attended the Madden premiere in Culver City, California, with his daughter Isabella.
Kanye West also gathered his four children — North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm — for the Yeezy Season 01 runway show in Los Angeles.
But behind the scenes of these public outings, a different kind of drama was unfolding inside the Kardashian-Jenner family.
A preview for the November 12 episode of The Kardashians on Hulu shows Kris Jenner confronting her daughter Kim Kardashian over a recently published tell-all book.
The book is titled Citizen Kim: The Woman Who Created the Future.
It was written by author Jonathan Van Meter and released in October 2026.
Van Meter spent six years interviewing Kim's relatives, friends and associates for the project.
In the preview clip, Kim begins discussing the book with her family.
"The one thing I find so interesting in the book …" she starts to say.
Her sister Kourtney Kardashian interrupts to ask which book she is referring to.
Kim explains that an author interviewed their family for six years.
"For the last six years, this guy has been interviewing everyone in our family," she says.
Kris Jenner immediately reacts with visible frustration.
"Somebody else to analyze us. Perfect," the momager remarks.

Her frustration escalates in a later moment of the same preview.
"You have just given our rights to our lives away to some stranger," she tells Kim directly.
Kris then walks away from the conversation, saying "I gotta go."
The exchange suggests a significant disagreement over how much personal family history should be shared publicly.
Van Meter later discussed the tension during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
He claimed that Kim contacted him after hearing about her mother's reaction during filming.
According to the author, Kris became upset because the book included details about a past affair.
Kris Jenner previously spoke publicly about her relationship with Todd Waterman during her marriage to Robert Kardashian.
"I made a huge mistake. That's, like, my life's biggest regret," she admitted in 2023.
The affair reportedly became a point of contention when Kim allowed Van Meter to include it in the book.
Kim reportedly defended the project by questioning why her family would not welcome someone trying to understand them.
The disagreement highlights different views within the family about privacy and legacy.
Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian has been dealing with other pressures in her career.
Season 2 of All's Fair, the Ryan Murphy-created series starring Kardashian, premiered on Hulu on November 4.
Critics have been harsh.
The Telegraph called the show "unspeakably atrocious" and labeled it the "worst TV series of the 21st century."

Ready Steady Cut wrote, "Even when graded on the Ryan Murphy curve, All's Fair was an impressively terrible series of television when it first debuted, and it remains so in Season 2."
Not every review was entirely negative.
The Guardian's Lucy Mangan suggested the series had made a modest improvement.
"Squint hard enough and it has slightly improved since its zero-star debut," she wrote.
Mangan added that the show had started moving into "so bad it's good" territory.
"At some point you realise that you are having fun, instead of, like last time, holding your jaw off the ground and wondering how television could be this bad," she said.
Despite the critical reception, All's Fair became Hulu's most-watched scripted series debut in three years after its first season.
The show earned a swift renewal after its premiere.
Kardashian has made it clear that negative reviews do not bother her.
"I think history has proven that controversy can create success," she told Variety at the season 2 premiere on November 2.
"But I think it just shows that you could make something just for the watchers and for the fans to enjoy themselves. It doesn't have to be critically acclaimed."
Co-star Sarah Paulson, 51, echoed that sentiment.
"Not everything has to be an opportunity for some awards celebration," Paulson said.
Kardashian poked fun at the show's reputation from the very beginning.
In November 2025, she promoted the first season on Instagram with a sarcastic caption.
"Have you tuned in to the most critically acclaimed show of the year!?!?!? All's Fair streaming now on @hulu and @disneyplus," she wrote.

Back at home, the family drama over Citizen Kim continues to unfold.
The book includes extensive reporting on Kim's life, career and relationships.
Van Meter interviewed a wide circle of people close to the Kardashian-Jenner family over six years.
The author's access reportedly included conversations with siblings, friends and business associates.
Kim has not publicly commented on her mother's reaction to the book.
Kris Jenner has also not issued a public statement about the confrontation.
The preview for the upcoming episode suggests the conversation was tense and unresolved.
New episodes of The Kardashians air every Thursday on Hulu.
The November 12 episode will reportedly show the full exchange between mother and daughter.
It remains unclear whether the family will address the book further in future episodes.
The situation adds another layer to the ongoing narrative of the Kardashian-Jenner family.
Public interest in the family's internal dynamics has remained high for nearly two decades.
The family has built a media empire largely based on sharing personal moments.
But the tell-all book represents a different kind of exposure — one controlled by an outside author rather than the family themselves.
Kris Jenner, as the family's manager, has historically maintained tight control over the family's image and narrative.
Allowing an independent journalist to shape that narrative appears to have crossed a line for her.
The preview clip ends with Kris walking away, leaving the conversation unfinished.
Viewers will have to tune in on November 12 to see what happens next.
