Mormon Wives' Zac Affleck Breaks Silence on Jen Affleck Divorce Amid Her Pregnancy

Zac Affleck is speaking out for the first time after his wife, Jen Affleck, filed for divorce — while she is eight months pregnant with their fourth child.

Jen, a star of Hulu’s The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, filed a divorce petition in Provo, Utah, on Monday, November 3, 2026, according to court documents obtained by E!

News and Entertainment Weekly.

She also submitted a proposed parenting plan, though the details of her custody request are not yet public.

The reason cited for the filing is not yet known.

On Thursday, November 5, Zac, 30, broke his silence in a statement to People.

“Hope she is happy in this next phase of life,” he said.

“Just focusing on my kids and figuring out what’s next for me.”

He added: “I will always be Jen’s supporter.”

According to TMZ, Zac learned about the divorce filing from TMZ itself — not from his wife.

The couple met in 2018 on the Mormon dating app Mutual.

They married the following year in 2019.

They have three children together: daughter Nora, 5, son Luca, 3, and daughter Penelope, 16 months.

In June 2026, Jen announced she was pregnant with their fourth child, sharing a photo of her baby bump on Instagram with the caption: “Chapter Four. 🤍.”

Their marital ups and downs have been a central storyline on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, which premiered on Hulu in 2024.

During season one, the couple separated briefly after arguing about Jen’s role as the breadwinner, her influencer friend group, and Zac’s gambling in Las Vegas — which was shown on the show.

During season two, the Dancing With the Stars alum and the medical student rebuilt their relationship while attending therapy.

They announced their pregnancy with Penelope in February 2025.

Jen told Us Weekly in 2025 that her marriage to Zac was “stronger than ever” after facing marital woes.

“Every single day we tell each other, we’re like, ‘If we can get through this, we can get through anything,’” she said.

She also said returning to the show was important for her and Zac to “really just share [their] story” as a couple.

“I thought it was important to share a bit of the aftermath because that was kind of the reality of what was going on, and there was a lot that we were trying to navigate, but I also wanted to show that it’s just the reality of marriage sometimes,” Jen said.

“Sometimes you go through a rough patch, and for some people it’s the end and it ends with divorce, and for other people they fight through it and it ends up being a blessing in disguise.”

Jen had previously shared that they were navigating difficulties “behind closed doors” while entering a new era as a family.

She told People in August 2026 after their move to Orange County, California: “It’s been a lot the past couple of months, I’ll be honest. But I do feel like I’m seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and just trying to count my blessings every single day.”

Around the same time, the 27-year-old shared on Instagram that she was experiencing prenatal depression.

Amid health challenges — which also included dental surgery — she praised Zac for getting her through the first trimester.

“I could not be there for my kids, and so Zac really had to show up,” she admitted to People, though she added: “He didn’t really have a choice.”

The couple is set to appear on the spinoff The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County, which drops on November 12, 2026.

According to TMZ, Zac ultimately did not film any scenes for the spinoff.

Viewers will see Jen’s perspective leading up to the split on the new series.

Following the news of Jen’s divorce filing, her Mormon Wives costar Taylor Frankie Paul showed her support by commenting on a video shared by the series’ official Instagram account: “Everything aside, I will be.”
