Prince Harry May Give Up on Family Reunion Plans

Prince Harry may be close to giving up on reconciling with the royal family.
A source told Woman’s Day that the Duke of Sussex has made repeated efforts to reconnect with King Charles and Prince William.
Those efforts have received “very little encouragement,” the source said.
“At some point he’s going to throw in the towel,” the insider added.
The report comes just days after Harry delivered a keynote speech on responsible travel at the Wanderlust Reader Travel Awards in London on November 4, 2026.
Harry, 42, appeared on behalf of Travalyst, the environmental tourism initiative he founded in 2019.
“I founded Travalyst in 2019 because I believe that an industry built on extraordinary places of our world has both a responsibility and a business imperative to protect it,” he said during his speech.

The London outing came two days after Harry was spotted in New York City.
A source confirmed to People that Harry held meetings at the Lotte New York Palace Hotel on November 2.
“The duke had a number of meetings in New York focused on new business opportunities and partnerships,” a spokesperson for Harry told People.
“Further details will be shared in due course,” the spokesperson added.
Harry has publicly expressed a desire to reunite with his father and brother.
In a recent GQ interview, he said, “Some people don’t want it to work out. I want it to work out.”
According to the Woman’s Day source, both Harry and Meghan Markle are “pretty fed up” with how things have unfolded since their return to the U.K.

The source said Harry is still hoping to make progress with King Charles and William.
“So far there’s been very little encouragement,” the insider said.
Royal author Russell Myers told People that William’s position is clear.
“William’s view is clear – any relationship his father has with Harry or the Sussexes as a family is entirely up to him,” Myers said.
While Harry has had some contact with his father, his relationship with William remains strained.
There has been no confirmed reconciliation between the brothers.
Meanwhile, Meghan is reportedly focusing on her own career moves.

She is set to co-host Junior MasterChef Australia.
“Meghan’s very excited to be doing this show,” the source told Woman’s Day.
“It may not be the big Hollywood blockbuster that she’s got her heart set on, but she’s seeing this as a huge step in the right direction.”
Harry and the couple’s two children will go with her to Australia.
“They’re framing it like another exciting adventure, but it’s no secret Meghan’s viewing this as potentially a lot more than a temporary thing,” the source added.
Harry and Meghan made their first joint public appearance since moving back to the U.K. on October 15, 2026, in Nottingham.
They visited a series of charities during that outing.

The family then took a holiday with close friends during their children’s half-term school break.
Harry’s next scheduled public appearance is in Brussels, Belgium, on November 10, 2026.
He and Meghan will open the latest iteration of the Lost Screen Memorial.
The installation honors children who lost their lives due to the harms of social media.
It is comprised of 50 smartphone screens, each displaying the lock screen photo of a child whose life was cut short.
Harry and Meghan first unveiled the memorial in New York City in April 2025.
Meghan traveled to Switzerland in May 2026 to bring the memorial to Geneva’s Place des Nations.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved back to the U.K. in late September 2026.
Harry described the move as “eventful” during a speech at the Invictus Spirit Awards.
“The last two weeks have been… it’s been eventful,” he told Hello! magazine.
“But, you know, we’re getting stuck into the work. Kids are in school. We’re happy.”
He added, “It’s great to be back on British soil, and looking forward to Birmingham next year for the Invictus Games that’s coming up.”
The question now is whether Harry’s patience will run out before any real thaw in family relations occurs.
The source’s description of “very little encouragement” suggests the rift remains deep.
And with Meghan’s career pulling the family toward Australia, the physical distance between Harry and his relatives may only grow.
For now, Harry continues to make public appearances and pursue his own projects.
But the insider’s warning is clear: at some point, he may stop trying.
