Prince Harry returns to UK as Meghan scouts future homes abroad

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are traveling to ‘Cities Where They Could Build a Future’ Amid U.K. Return.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are in Brussels, Belgium, on Tuesday, November 10, to open the Lost Screen Memorial.
But a source told journalist Rob Shuter's Naughty But Nice Substack that their international charity trips are about more than the causes they support.
The trips give Harry, 42, and Meghan, 45, a chance to see how they are received and identify cities where they could build a future, the source said in a report published Thursday, November 5.
The Daily Mail reported earlier this week that the married couple and their two children — Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5 — have been staying with a wealthy businessman friend who lives in the Cotswolds since their return to the U.K.
It's not surprising that they'd keep their options open, the source suggested.
"They need a place that wants them as much as they want to be there," Shuter's source said.

"They are looking for connections, opportunities and a community where they can feel at home."
Harry and Meghan's outing to Brussels marks their first joint trip abroad since they moved back to the U.K. in August.
As Star previously reported, the Spare author and the former Suits actress have reportedly been hoping to make a purchase on a new home.
However, an insider previously claimed in Shuter's Substack that their house hunt has effectively stalled.
"They haven't found anything they both love that they can realistically afford," the insider added.
According to the Naughty But Nice report, the pair had their eyes on the Cotswolds region and a property that costs approximately £10 million — more than $13 million.
"They have champagne tastes, but the bank balance isn't matching the ambition," said a source.

This trip to Brussels comes as Prince Harry makes his first appearance in the U.K. since child abuse accusations involving his father-in-law, Thomas Markle, became public knowledge.
Speaking in his capacity as Travalyst's founder, the Duke presented a Keynote address at the Wanderlust Travel Media Awards held at the Old Royal Naval College in London.
The Duke of Sussex established the not-for-profit organization Travalyst in 2019 with the goal of promoting sustainable tourism practices.
Dressed in a suit with a red-and-blue striped tie, the Duke addressed attendees: "I started Travalyst because I believe deeply in travel as a force for good."
Prince Harry's connection to Travalyst has frequently drawn scrutiny, with both the Duke and Duchess of Sussex facing accusations of being hypocrites due to their regular private jet usage.
The Daily Mail reported that during the organization's launch year, the pair took four private flights within an 11-day period.
Following backlash, Harry defended his choices during an Amsterdam speech, explaining that certain situations require prioritizing his family's security, reports the Express.

The Duke stated: "I spend 99% of my life travelling the world by commercial. Occasionally, there needs to be an opportunity based on a unique circumstance to ensure that my family are safe."
He acknowledged that no one is perfect and emphasized we can all do better regarding environmental responsibility.
Prince Harry's most recent public appearance comes on the heels of reports that he, Meghan, and their two children departed the U.K. shortly before allegations against Mr. Markle became public knowledge.
According to a source, the family of four traveled overseas for a brief vacation to spend quality time with close friends.
"She's just really, really upset," a friend revealed to Hello! Magazine.
"She keeps on looking at Lili, and she's in tears, and thinking about all the children, the alleged victims. She has young children herself. It's just devastating."
"She decided a while ago, before this happened, that she was going to take herself away from the media and not look at anything, for her own mental health."

"But obviously, she's been getting sent a lot of messages from friends in the UK and people all over saying how sorry they are, but it's just been an emotional rollercoaster for her. She's in bits."
Meanwhile, questions linger about the couple's professional lives, specifically their work with Netflix.
In 2020, just two years after tying the knot, Markle and Prince Harry stepped down from their royal duties and moved to Southern California.
That same year, they signed an overall deal with Netflix and have since released several shows, including Markle's lifestyle series With Love, Meghan.
Despite Archewell Productions renewing its partnership with Netflix in 2025 under a multi-year first-look deal, it seems like things have stalled for two projects that are in development.
In March, Netflix had backed out of its partnership with Markle's lifestyle brand, As Ever, reportedly due to performance.
Even though the Harry & Meghan docuseries was a success, their follow-up projects haven't generated the same type of viewership.

Plus, With Love, Meghan had a controversial launch, and it's been reported that Netflix may have lost money with the partnership.
That being said, the couple still have two Netflix films in the works: Meet Me at the Lake and The Wedding Date.
A source tells Page Six that they are in development, but there hasn't been any progress since March.
Another source shared that that's simply standard practice in the industry.
Both films are adaptations of beloved books.
Meet Me at the Lake is based on Carley Fortune's 2023 novel and has been in development since August 2023.
The Wedding Date, meanwhile, has been in development since 2025 and is based on Jasmine Guillory's 2018 contemporary romance.
In addition, Markle and Prince Harry were also working on an untitled scripted polo drama, but nothing more has been revealed on that front.
Whether any of those projects will move forward remains to be seen.
But for now, the couple's focus appears to be on finding a place to call home — somewhere that wants them as much as they want to be there.
The search continues.
