Travis Kelce can’t wait to start new Christmas traditions with Taylor Swift as a married man

Travis Kelce can’t wait to start new Christmas traditions with Taylor Swift as a married man

Travis Kelce is looking forward to creating new holiday traditions with his wife, Taylor Swift.

“I’m excited for this year to be my first Christmas as a married man,” the athlete gushed in Tommy Hilfiger’s new winter campaign.

“I love all the old traditions and can’t wait to start some new ones. I start celebrating as that tree goes up.”

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end also revealed his “perfect holiday” would be having a night game on Christmas Day with his “entire family” in attendance.

Last year, the pair spent Christmas together while they were engaged.

At the time, he also shared that the best gift he received was from the Grammy winner.

“The best gift that I got was from Taylor,” he told “New Heights” listeners.

“But it gives away things that we’re trying to keep in house. So I’m not going to say it.”

“And I love you, Tay,” he sweetly added.

The lovebirds reportedly spent the holiday on a ski vacation following his Christmas Day game against the Denver Broncos.

“He’s looking forward to spending time in the mountains with Taylor, enjoying a real winter getaway complete with skiing, hot chocolate, cozy rooms, and chilling out while watching the snow fall,” a source told the Sun last year.

The insider also claimed Kelce spent $140,000 on presents for Swift, including a $90,000 Rolex.

“He has been working on this for several weeks and picked out some beautiful items from her favorite brands, like Dior, to ensure she has the perfect outfits ready for their trip in the coming weeks,” the source said.

The year prior, Kelce and Swift, both 36, celebrated Christmas together with both of their families for the first time.

As Page Six previously reported, the couple got married at Madison Square Garden in July after three years together.

Two months after the star-studded nuptials, the athlete’s 14th NFL season began, and Swift has reportedly been keeping herself “super busy” amid her “hyper-focused” partner’s busy schedule.

Swift has also been a staple at Kelce’s home games this season, and they made their most recent joint appearance in October for a Manhattan dinner date.

Kelce made his comments to WWD on Nov. 5 while discussing his new campaign with Tommy Hilfiger.

“I’m excited for my first holiday as a married man,” Kelce told WWD.

“I love all the old traditions and can’t wait to start some new ones.”

And as soon as the Christmas lights start to glisten, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end will be simply having a wonderful Christmastime.

As he put it, “I start celebrating as that tree goes up.”

But that begs the question, did he ever stop celebrating since he said, “I do,” in New York City?

After all, the 37-year-old previously called his and Swift’s wedding “the best night of my life.”

“Marrying Taylor was more than I could have ever dreamed it to be,” he added during his September convo with ESPN’s Chris Berman, “because of all the people that showed up, and the amount of, you know, love that was in the air.”

In fact, Kelce and Swift had to make their way through a crowd of nearly 1,000 well-wishers who descended on New York’s Madison Square Garden to witness the next chapter in the pair’s love story.

“Me and Taylor are so thankful for everybody that showed up,” Kelce said during the Sept. 2 episode of his New Heights podcast with brother Jason Kelce.

“From the vows to the seeing everyone to how much fun we had throughout the entire evening, and hearing that being relayed through everyone’s stories of that night—it was just so magical man, I wish it could have lasted longer than it did.”

For the Kansas City Chiefs player, one of the most particularly enchanting aspects of the evening was seeing all their loved ones from the furthest corners of their lives come together.

“It was so cool to see everyone from my childhood not only mesh with Taylor, but [the people] from her childhood and her family and friends,” he explained, “and people that she works with to people that we’ve encountered over the course of our career and who we just admire as people and have become good friends with now.”

Travis and Taylor have been a busy couple since exchanging vows at Madison Square Garden in July.

Travis is back on the football field for another NFL season with the Kansas City Chiefs, while Taylor has been promoting her “Toy Story 5” song “I Knew It, I Knew You,” which is widely expected to be nominated for an Oscar in January.

Taylor recently gave a glimpse into their marriage during a Q&A for the movie in New York City.

Swift opened up about how she connected with the bond between “Toy Story 5” characters Bonnie and Blaze.

Joined by director Andrew Stanton, she shared in a video posted on X, “I’d love to pile on to what Andrew was saying about finding someone who’s the same genre as weird and silly as you are and just why Bonnie and Blaze’s story resonated with me so much.”

Referencing her friend Abigail Anderson, Swift added, “When I moved to Nashville when I was 14, you know, you’re the new kid in school and you’re like, ‘Who should I be friends with? These girls are cool, these girls are cool, these are nice girls.’ But there was one girl named Abigail — and she even has curly hair, too, like Blaze — and the two of us, all we wanted to do was talk in Napoleon Dynamite voices.”

Abigail and Taylor have been friends for more than 20 years.
