Valkyries Turn Angel Reese’s Taunt Into a Parade Pacifier Joke

Former Golden State Warriors center Festus Ezeli held up a custom T-shirt trolling Atlanta Dream forward Angel Reese during the Valkyries' WNBA championship parade Wednesday.
The shirt depicted Reese doing her 'too small' taunt from Game 3 of the WNBA Finals.
Reese's face was replaced with the Crying Jordan meme.
Video of the moment has drawn hundreds of thousands of views on X and TikTok.
Ezeli, who won an NBA title with the Warriors in 2015, was riding on one of the Valkyries parade floats in San Francisco.
He has remained connected to the Bay Area as an NBC Sports Bay Area analyst and has been seen speaking with Valkyries guard Kate Martin.
The taunt that started it all happened in Game 3 of the Finals.
Reese directed the 'too small' gesture toward the Valkyries bench, specifically center Aminata Gueye.

She also appeared to call Gueye a 'bum' after the Dream's 97-71 blowout win that gave Atlanta a 2-1 series lead.
Ten days later, the Valkyries won the championship on their home floor at Chase Center.
The series went seven games.
Valkyries forward Gabby Williams delivered a 30-point performance in Game 7 to seal the title.
Williams averaged just under 20 points per game in the Finals, accounting for 29 percent of all Valkyries points scored in the series.
Reese averaged 14.7 points, 12.9 rebounds and three assists per game across the seven-game series.
She shot 40 percent from the field and 37 percent from three-point range.
Reese led the Dream in rebounding and was third in scoring during the Finals.

The Valkyries won the WNBA title in their second season.
That makes them the fastest expansion team to win a championship in league history.
The previous record was held by the Seattle Storm, who won in their fifth season in 2004.
The custom shirt was not an official Valkyries team item.
It appeared to be fan-made merchandise that Ezeli chose to display on the parade float.
The shirt featured the Crying Jordan meme superimposed onto Reese's head while she performed the 'too small' gesture.
Another version of the taunt appeared at the parade in the form of printed flyers.
Those flyers showed the same Crying Jordan meme on Reese with the caption: 'If found, return to ATL.'

Other fans at the parade wore shirts with Reese's hand doing the taunt and the caption 'Two Small Years.'
That message referenced the fact that the Valkyries won a title in their second year while the Dream have been in the league since 2008 without one.
Ezeli is not the only NBA player to get involved in the rivalry.
Warriors rookie Yaxel Lendeborg clapped back at Reese immediately after Game 7 at Chase Center.
Lendeborg did a similar 'too small' gesture toward Reese after the Valkyries won.
Reese has not publicly responded to the parade trolling as of this report.
She has previously said she plans to use the upcoming offseason to focus on training for the 2027 season.
Reese has pledged to put her podcast on hold and restrict her social media videos to vlogs while she trains.

She ended the 2026 season with All-WNBA, All-Star and Defensive Player of the Year honors.
The Valkyries' championship parade marked the end of a historic season for the expansion franchise.
The team drew significant fan support throughout the playoffs and sold out Chase Center for Game 7.
Former Warriors fans have embraced the Valkyries as the Bay Area's new championship team.
The trolling of Reese became a recurring theme during the Finals.
After Game 7, Valkyries players mocked Reese with the same 'too small' taunt on social media.
Sophie Cunningham, a Valkyries guard, defended Reese's Game 3 confidence during the series.
Cunningham suggested that as the best player on the floor, Reese had the right to feel confident.

But that confidence turned into a rallying cry for the Valkyries and their fans.
The 'too small' gesture became a symbol of the rivalry between the two teams.
Reese's Dream pushed the Valkyries to the limit in a seven-game series that could have gone either way.
The Dream lost the first game badly but bounced back with two dominant wins in Atlanta.
Analysts questioned whether the Valkyries had an answer for Reese during those games.
In Game 2, Reese showed her confidence by demanding the ball and quitting the play midway when her teammates did not feed her.
The series ultimately came down to Game 7 at Chase Center.
Williams took over the game and led the Valkyries to their first title.
Reese finished the Finals with strong individual numbers but fell short of the championship.
The parade trolling is the latest chapter in a rivalry that has captured WNBA fans' attention.
It remains to be seen whether Reese and the Dream will meet the Valkyries again in the 2027 Finals.
