Alan Cumming Reveals Epic “Traitors” Finale and Holiday Secrets

Alan Cumming opened up about his holiday plans, the upcoming finale of The Traitors, and his full-circle moment with Old Navy in a new interview with InStyle.
The actor, who hosts the Peacock reality competition series, called the upcoming season finale “epic.”
He did not give away any plot details.
But he did share his dream casting for future seasons of The Traitors.
Cumming also named one former contestant he would love to spend time with again.
The interview, published in early November 2026, features Cumming looking cozy in a navy cardigan and red circular glasses.
He told InStyle that the holidays are about “getting together with people you love, and also having time to look back and process what’s happened.”
Cumming said he had “such an incredible year of doing things that I’m really grateful for and excited about.”

One of those things is fronting Old Navy’s 2026 holiday campaign, titled “All Aboard the Jingle Jet.”
The campaign stars Cumming alongside Meg Stalter, Paris Hilton, Charli D’Amelio, True Whitaker, Vidya Gopalan and her family, and a dog named Magic.
In the video ad, Cumming plays a flight attendant.
He wears a cobalt blue double-breasted suit jacket, matching trousers, and a steward hat with red trim.
The ad takes place on a red plaid-decorated airplane.
Passengers carry Old Navy’s Performance Fleeces and Jingle Jammies.
Cumming said he plans to gift those items to people this year.
His favorite piece from the campaign is a striped yellow sweater — which he kept for himself.

He described shooting the campaign as “fun, camp, and witty.”
Cumming said the role clicked with his personality.
It also created a full-circle moment.
Earlier in 2026, Cumming performed in a musical he co-wrote called The High Life, based on a British sitcom he wrote 30 years ago.
In that musical, he also played a flight attendant.
“It was nice to end the year as a flight attendant as well as beginning it as one,” he said.
Despite all the travel, Cumming said he is a home-for-the-holidays person.
He plans to spend the holiday season at his house in Scotland.

“I love being able to be at home, stuff your face, watch movies, and have people over,” he said.
He added that “the way that time stops is so attractive to me after my usual life.”
His go-to holiday movie is the classic It’s a Wonderful Life.
When asked how guests might find him on a festive evening, Cumming said: “A combo of comfort and pizzazz — that’s my absolute perfect fashion genre.”
Cumming also has major theater news.
He will star in the musical A History of Paper, which will transfer to New York for its US premiere in February 2027.
The show runs for a strictly limited 13-week engagement at Stage 42, from February 12 to May 16, 2027.
It is a co-production with Sonia Friedman Productions, Jerry Goehring and Pemberley Productions.

The musical charts a love story through physical paper artifacts: letters, postcards, shopping lists, train tickets, and menus.
It began as a BBC Radio 4 play by Oliver Emanuel in 2017.
Composer Gareth Williams developed it with the Dundee Rep Theatre.
The show premiered at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2024, where it won a Fringe First Award.
Cumming selected it as part of his inaugural season as Artistic Director at Pitlochry Festival Theatre.
He will star opposite Shirley Henderson, whom he first worked with over 40 years ago.
“I am so thrilled to bring A History of Paper from my home country of Scotland to my adopted home in New York City,” Cumming said.
He called the show “one of these rare shows that transcends its own story and manages to touch an audience in a really visceral and beautiful way.”

Cumming said it has been his plan since taking over as Artistic Director at Pitlochry to start a “theatrical exchange channel between Manhattan and our theatre in the hills.”
A History of Paper is the first show to make that exchange.
“I couldn’t be happier to be doing it alongside Shirley,” he added.
Henderson said: “When Alan whispered backstage to me that we might be taking our show A History of Paper to New York, my heart skipped a beat.”
She described feeling “excited, a little scared but happy to be holding hands with Alan as we take this beautiful piece of writing with sweet music on the next part of its journey.”
“I never imagined it was possible to have the opportunity to step onto the New York stage,” she said.
“I am glad it’s with my lovely friend Alan Cumming.”
The production is directed by Andrew Panton, Artistic Director of Dundee Rep Theatre.
This marks the first Off-Broadway transfer from either Pitlochry Festival Theatre or Dundee Rep Theatre.
