Garth Brooks Confirms 10-Show Irish Stadium Tour, Fulfilling Dream For His Biggest Market

Garth Brooks Confirms 10-Show Irish Stadium Tour, Fulfilling Dream For His Biggest Market

Garth Brooks has confirmed a 10-show stadium tour across Ireland for May and June 2027, with promoter Peter Aiken emphasizing that Ireland remains the country music superstar's biggest market on earth per head of population.

The massive announcement marks the fulfillment of a long-standing career ambition for the American music icon.

Rather than staging another residency in the capital, Brooks will bring his stadium production directly to regional audiences.

"This has been a dream of mine since the first time we played Ireland. Once you get a taste of how the Irish love music, you can't play there enough!"

That deep enthusiasm will see him play across five different venues in 2027, delivering two shows at each stop.

A RECORD-BREAKING CONNECTION

Born Troyal Brooks in Oklahoma, the singer has built an unprecedented career in commercial music history.

Brooks stands as the biggest-selling solo artist in United States history, having become the first and only artist to surpass 200 million albums sold.

Yet despite his massive success across North America, his relationship with the Irish public remains entirely unique in live entertainment.

Promoter Peter Aiken confirmed that the singer and his inner circle are acutely aware of this bond.

Aiken told Oliver Callan on RTÉ Radio 1 that management knows Ireland represents the artist's premier global audience relative to population size.

"Every show they do over there (in America), you see the tricolour flag"

The national flag has become a staple at his American stadium performances, carried by dedicated fans across the Atlantic.

THE DUBLIN DATA BEHIND THE DECISION

While the 2027 tour represents a major celebration for music fans across the country, the schedule caused an immediate stir by completely bypassing Dublin.

The American singer famously sold out five consecutive nights at Dublin's Croke Park in September 2022.

However, Aiken Promotions explained that detailed box-office data from those historic 2022 shows dictated the new regional approach.

For a standard headline concert at Croke Park, roughly half of all ticket buyers typically live in Dublin.

When Brooks played his five-night stand at the venue, ticket records showed Dublin residents accounted for just under 20 percent of sales.

More than 80 percent of attendees had traveled to the capital from other counties and provinces across the island.

Brooks noted the immense volume of ticket buyers traveling from counties such as Galway and Limerick, alongside massive support from Belfast.

Armed with that knowledge, the artist and his touring team decided to take the concerts directly to the fans outside the capital.

INSPIRATION FROM SHEERAN AND SPRINGSTEEN

The ambition to undertake a full nationwide trek across Ireland took root inside Croke Park back in September 2022.

Prior to his final Dublin concert that month, Brooks held a pre-show press conference where he revealed the creative spark for the idea.

Promotional posters hanging around the stadium corridors displayed recent national itineraries played by Bruce Springsteen and Ed Sheeran.

Both artists had combined major regional stadium dates in provincial cities with high-profile Dublin stops.

Brooks openly admired the approach taken by Sheeran, expressing a desire to emulate that touring style.

"Ed Sheeran, I love to death. I looked at his [tour posters] and he’s got two nights somewhere, two nights somewhere, and a few nights in Croke Park but it was a full tour"

The singer remarked that after spending a week traveling, he welcomed the chance to travel directly to where his audience lived.

He told reporters during that 2022 press briefing that playing across the island was simply all he wanted to do.

FROM ORLANDO TO THE EMERALD ISLE

Aiken revealed that the two men stayed in regular contact about the concept over the ensuing years.

The final logistical hurdle fell into place during a recent personal meeting in Florida.

Aiken traveled to Orlando to attend one of Brooks's live performances and discuss potential scheduling.

During their conversation, the promoter initially assumed Brooks was targeting dates for the summer of 2028.

Brooks corrected him on the spot, insisting the schedule be locked in for 2027 instead.

From that backstage conversation in Florida, Aiken Promotions moved swiftly to secure stadium dates across five host cities.

THE COMPLETE 2027 TOUR ITINERARY

The historic 10-date stadium run begins in Northern Ireland in late May 2027.

Brooks will open the tour at Boucher Road Playing Fields in Belfast on Friday, May 21, and Saturday, May 22.

The production will then travel westward to Connacht for two consecutive weekend shows.

Pearse Stadium in Galway will host the country star on Saturday, May 29, and Sunday, May 30.

Kilkenny welcomes the tour next as UPMC Nowlan Park stages concerts on Friday, June 4, and Saturday, June 5.

From the southeast, the road crew heads to Munster for the final two weekends of the itinerary.

The TUS Gaelic Grounds in Limerick will host performances on Friday, June 11, and Saturday, June 12.

The tour concludes on the banks of the River Lee with two nights at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh in Cork on Friday, June 18, and Saturday, June 19.

TICKETS, PRICING, AND SCHEDULE DETAILS

Fans across the country face a tight window to organize their plans before tickets go live.

Ticketmaster will open general sales for all five cities simultaneously on Thursday, November 12, at 8:00 AM.

Organizers confirmed that no presale window will take place ahead of the general public release.

Ticket prices for the upcoming trek reflect wider industry shifts that have taken place since Brooks last played Ireland.
