Garth Brooks confirms huge 2027 shows at 4 Irish GAA stadiums

Garth Brooks has been confirmed for Kilkenny GAA grounds, marking the first time the country superstar will play UPMC Nowlan Park.
The announcement came at 8 a.m. Thursday, November 5, 2026, from Kilkenny GAA and promoter Peter Aiken of Aiken Promotions.
It follows a teaser posted by Kilkenny GAA on Tuesday evening that hinted at a major act for the venue.
Aiken had told KCLR 96FM back in June that he was working on “something big” for the locality in 2027.
That something turned out to be Garth Brooks, who will play two nights at the Kilkenny venue over the June Bank Holiday weekend.
The dates are Friday, June 4, and Saturday, June 5, 2027.
Brooks will also perform at four other Irish venues: Belfast, Galway, Limerick and Cork.
In total, the tour includes 10 concerts across the island of Ireland.

BELFAST, Boucher Road — Friday 21 May & Saturday 22 May 2027.
GALWAY, Pearse Stadium — Saturday 29 May & Sunday 30 May 2027.
KILKENNY, UPMC Nowlan Park — Friday 4 June & Saturday 5 June 2027.
LIMERICK, TUS Gaelic Grounds — Friday 11 June & Saturday 12 June 2027.
CORK, Supervalu Páirc Uí Chaoimh — Friday 18 June & Saturday 19 June 2027.
This is an extension of Brooks’ Blame It All On My Roots Tour, which began in 2026.
The tour has already included domestic U.S. dates and a run in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada in December 2026.
Brooks announced the Irish dates via an Instagram Stories video on Thursday morning.

In the video, he walks through a backstage loading area toward a trunk.
“They’re telling me there’s something in this truck I wanna see. I’m excited,” the singer says.
He opens the trunk, rummages inside, then looks up at a piece of paper taped to the lid.
“Oh, maybe it’s that,” Brooks continues, tapping the paper.
On it is a list of the five Irish cities: Kilkenny, Galway, Cork, Limerick and Belfast.
“Ireland, we’re coming to you this time,” Brooks reveals.
In a statement, Brooks said: “This has been a dream of mine since the first time we played Ireland. Once you get a taste of how the Irish love music, you can’t play there enough!”
Brooks last performed in Ireland in September 2022, with five sold-out nights at Croke Park in Dublin.

Those shows followed a controversial 2014 plan to play five nights at Croke Park that was scaled back due to a licensing dispute with Dublin City Council.
This time, Brooks is playing GAA grounds in four counties: Kilkenny, Galway, Limerick and Cork, plus a site in Belfast.
UPMC Nowlan Park in Kilkenny has hosted major music acts for decades.
Past performers include Bob Dylan (2001, 2006, 2019), Paul Simon (2002), Shania Twain (2003), James Taylor (2004), Rod Stewart (2005, 2016), Andrea Bocelli (2006), Dolly Parton (2008), Bruce Springsteen (2013, 2024) and Neil Young (2019).
The venue is the home of Kilkenny GAA, the county’s hurling and Gaelic football teams.
Tickets for all dates go on sale Thursday, November 12, 2026, at 8 a.m. local time.
They will be available via Ticketmaster.
No presale has been announced for any of the dates.

Ticket pricing has not yet been released for the Irish shows.
However, Brooks has stated on his website that he does not believe ticket price should determine where a fan sits.
According to the singer, “every seat” on his Blame It All On My Roots Tour is priced the same.
It remains unclear whether that policy will apply to the Irish dates, or whether Ticketmaster’s dynamic pricing model will be used.
During his 2022 Croke Park shows, standing tickets were approximately €65, while seated tickets were just over €80.
Colin Ahern, General Manager of the Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel, said such gigs bring a boost to the locality.
Kilkenny Mayor Andrew McGuinness also reacted to the confirmation.
Local fans have already begun sharing their excitement on social media.

Brooks’ 2027 Irish tour adds to a busy schedule that already includes U.S. dates in Kansas City, Missouri, and Seattle, Washington, in late 2026.
The tour is named after Brooks’ 2013 box set Blame It All On My Roots, which compiles hits from his career.
Brooks is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with over 170 million records sold worldwide.
He has been inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
The 2027 Irish tour marks his first time playing multiple GAA stadiums outside Dublin.
Fans who missed his 2022 Croke Park shows will have another chance to see him live.
The June Bank Holiday weekend in Kilkenny is expected to draw large crowds to the city.
Local businesses, including hotels, pubs and restaurants, are likely to see a surge in visitors.
More details about the tour, including potential support acts and stage setup, are expected to be announced closer to the dates.
For now, the confirmed facts are the venues, dates and on-sale time.
The question that remains: will Brooks enforce his equal-price policy on the Irish leg of the tour, or will Ticketmaster’s dynamic pricing take over?
That answer may come when tickets go live next week.
