Kenny takes a sly shot at Acaster over 'Traitors' feud fallout

King Kenny has hit out at James Acaster’s actions following the dramatic conclusion of The Celebrity Traitors.
The 29-year-old YouTuber and boxer, whose real name is Kenny Ojuederie, came agonisingly close to claiming victory.
He was ultimately banished after Sebastian Croft turned on him at the fire pit.
Speaking on The Fellas podcast, Kenny made clear he holds Mr Acaster responsible for his downfall.
“I was shocked,” he said of the 41-year-old’s decision to reveal himself as a Traitor during the penultimate episode.
Kenny went further, stating plainly: “I think if James Acaster didn’t say that, I would have won.”
The 29-year-old recalled how he immediately turned to Maya Jama once it became apparent that Mr Acaster was about to expose himself.

“I said to Maya, ‘Time’s coming, but we’re going to have to fight for our lives and try and win this,’” he explained.
The discussion at the roundtable had centred on Ross Kemp’s murder in plain sight.
Michael Sheen pieced together which players had been present in the room at the time.
Mr Acaster’s inability to mount a convincing defence under sustained questioning ultimately led to his admission.
Beyond his direct criticism of Mr Acaster, Kenny also suggested the show’s producers should take some responsibility for what unfolded.
“I think the producers should make sure that everyone wants to play the game effectively,” he told The Fellas podcast.
“Whether you’re a Traitor or a Faithful, everyone’s happy to do whatever. It makes the game much more fun.”

The remark appeared to be a pointed reference to Mr Acaster’s reluctance to embrace his role after being recruited as a Traitor.
The comedian had originally entered the castle as a Faithful and was recruited in the second episode by Ms Jama and Richard E Grant.
“I was made a Traitor without wanting to be,” Mr Acaster had told his fellow contestants at the roundtable.
“I wanted to be a Faithful; that’s all I wanted to be.”
Elsewhere, singer James Blunt, who competed as a Faithful, offered a different perspective on Mr Acaster’s exit.
“He didn’t fall on his sword. That’s what you saw, that’s what you feel, but he didn’t,” Mr Blunt told BBC News.
“It was heavy in there, and it was clear-cut. He was pinned to a post.”

James Blunt has lifted the lid on James Acaster’s dramatic Celebrity Traitors downfall, claiming the comedian faced a much tougher grilling than BBC viewers were shown.
Fans watched as James, 41, seemingly gave himself up during the explosive penultimate episode.
He admitted he was a Traitor after coming under suspicion over Ross Kemp’s murder in plain sight.
However, according to James Blunt, 52, there was much more to the confrontation than made it into the final cut.
And the singer has now revealed just how intense things became.
Speaking to the BBC, he insisted that James Acaster’s apparent surrender wasn’t quite what it seemed.
While it looked as though the comedian had simply admitted defeat, James Blunt says his fellow contestants had actually put him under serious pressure.

“He didn’t fall on his sword. That’s what you saw, that’s what you feel, but he didn’t,” the singer explained.
“You didn’t see the full extent of the interrogation. It was heavy in there and it was clear-cut. He was pinned to the post. We got him. We really, really got him.
“I think how that played out hasn’t really been revealed to you, but he didn’t just say, ‘Oh guys, you got me’.”
And it wasn’t just viewers who got a different impression of events.
The You’re Beautiful singer admitted he was taken aback by the way the programme had been put together when he finally watched it himself.
He suggested the contestants were all “a victim to the edit”.
The comedian’s time in the castle unravelled when Michael Sheen raised suspicions about both him and Maya Jama during the penultimate Round Table.
Michael identified the pair as his leading suspects in Ross Kemp’s murder in plain sight.
He also acknowledged that he had previously overlooked James because the comedian had managed to keep such a low profile.
With suspicion mounting, the Off Menu star admitted he had been recruited by the Traitors, despite originally hoping to play as a Faithful.
He maintained that he had done his best to support the Faithfuls throughout the game.
But his explanation wasn’t enough to save him, with every remaining contestant voting for his banishment.
Reflecting on the experience in his exit interview, James said: “It was sprung on me, it was a surprise. But I was glad that t”
James Blunt has revealed details about unaired scenes prior to James Acaster’s unexpected confession on Celebrity Traitors.
Blunt explained that he and Michael Sheen subjected Acaster to a heavy interrogation regarding a perfume bottle used in a secret murder task.
Refuting claims that Acaster simply quit, Blunt insisted that the intense courtroom-style grilling left the comedian with nowhere to hide.
Production on the episode was reportedly halted so producers could intervene when Acaster became distressed during the roundtable.
The series concluded with Faithfuls Romesh Ranganathan and Sebastian Croft splitting the £83,000 prize pot in front of a record 11.2 million viewers.
Kenny has also addressed speculation about his relationship with fellow Traitor Ms Jama, with fans tipping a potential romance.
