King Kenny finally speaks on Maya Jama romance rumors

King Kenny has broken his silence on the romance rumors swirling around him and Maya Jama.
The Celebrity Traitors star, 29, whose real name is Kenny Ojuederie, addressed the speculation during an appearance on Capital XTRA Breakfast on Thursday.
Presenters Robert Bruce and Shayna Marie pressed him directly about being photographed outside Maya’s London home.
Kenny initially played coy when asked why paparazzi had been following the pair.
"I don't know, man," he replied.
The hosts pushed further, asking whether he and the Love Island presenter had talked about all the attention they were getting.
Kenny suggested they were handling it with humor.
"Yeah, we just laugh at it, to be honest," he said.
"That's just what happens, isn't it, when you're in the limelight. You've just got to laugh at it and move on."
The questions came after Kenny was reportedly photographed leaving Maya's £1.5 million London flat on Saturday morning, October 31.
He had spent the previous evening watching The Celebrity Traitors finale with the presenter at her home.
Their appearance together drew extra attention because of the close friendship they developed during filming of the BBC reality series.
Maya, 32, had reportedly split from footballer Ruben Dias shortly before filming began.
Sources suggested she found comfort in her friendship with Kenny during the experience.
The pair were also both present at Maya's Halloween party at 83 Rivington Street in Shoreditch.
Maya went all out for the occasion, transforming into Olympic gold medalist Sir Mo Farah with a bald cap, goatee, running vest and shorts.
Kenny opted for a more understated orange jumpsuit.
Their apparent closeness has not gone unnoticed by their TV co-stars either.
Actor Michael Sheen added to the speculation during an appearance on Friday's Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked.
He reflected on the game's biggest betrayals while the romance rumors were already circulating.
Kenny came agonizingly close to winning the series but was ultimately banished after Sebastian Croft turned on him at the fire pit.
He has since spoken openly about his frustration with James Acaster's decision to reveal himself as a Traitor during the penultimate episode.
"I was shocked," Kenny said of the comedian's confession on The Fellas podcast.
"I think if James Acaster didn't say that, I would have won."
Kenny recalled how he immediately turned to Maya once it became clear Acaster was about to expose himself.
"I said to Maya, 'Time's coming, but we're going to have to fight for our lives and try and win this,'" he explained.
Acaster had originally entered the castle as a Faithful and was recruited in the second episode by Maya and Richard E Grant.
"I was made a Traitor without wanting to be," Acaster told his fellow contestants at the roundtable.
"I wanted to be a Faithful; that's all I wanted to be."
Singer James Blunt, who competed as a Faithful, offered a different perspective on Acaster's exit.
"He didn't fall on his sword. That's what you saw, that's what you feel, but he didn't," Blunt told BBC News.
"It was heavy in there, and it was clear-cut. He was pinned to a post."
Kenny also suggested the show's producers should take some responsibility for what happened.
"I think the producers should make sure that everyone wants to play the game effectively," he told The Fellas podcast.
"Whether you're a Traitor or a Faithful, everyone's happy to do whatever. It makes the game much more fun."
The remark appeared to be a pointed reference to Acaster's reluctance to embrace his role after being recruited.
Despite the drama, Kenny has remained tight-lipped about the nature of his relationship with Maya.
His comments on Capital XTRA Breakfast were the first time he has addressed the romance rumors publicly.
When asked directly whether there was a romantic connection, Kenny did not confirm or deny it.
He instead deflected with laughter and a reminder that scrutiny comes with fame.
Fans have been speculating since the pair's cozy sightings began piling up.
The Halloween party appearance, the early-morning exit from her flat, and their on-screen chemistry have all fueled the gossip.
Neither Kenny nor Maya has confirmed a relationship.
But Kenny's refusal to shut down the rumors has only added to the intrigue.
Maya has not publicly commented on the speculation since the reports emerged.
The Love Island host has been focused on her presenting duties and charity work.
Kenny, meanwhile, has been promoting his appearance on The Celebrity Traitors and his YouTube channel.
The series finale aired on October 30, with Romesh Ranganathan and Sebastian Croft winning and splitting the £83,000 prize pot between their chosen charities.
Kenny made it to the final four before being voted out at the fire pit.
He has since become one of the most talked-about contestants of the series.
The romance rumors have only amplified his profile.
Whether there is a real romance behind the rumors remains unconfirmed.
But Kenny's first public comments have done nothing to quiet the speculation.
He laughed it off, called it part of being in the limelight, and moved on.
Exactly what that means — only he and Maya know.
