Michael Jordan’s Cincoro Tequila Drops a Rare $150 Añejo Reserva

Michael Jordan’s Cincoro Tequila has announced the launch of a limited-edition expression called Añejo Reserva.
The release is timed for the holiday season.
The spirit is crafted from Blue Weber agave sourced from both the highlands and lowlands of Jalisco, Mexico.
The liquid was aged for 28 months in ex-Tennessee whiskey barrels.
After aging, it was artfully blended with Cincoro Extra Añejo.
The brand says the result is a complex flavor profile.
Tasting notes include toasted oak, baking spices, cooked agave, and dark chocolate.
The price is set at $149.99 for a 750 mL bottle.
Cincoro Tequila was co-founded in 2019 by Michael Jordan, Emilia Fazzalari, and three other NBA-associated friends.
Fazzalari is the co-founder and oversees the production process.
In a statement, Fazzalari explained the care behind the new release.
“Añejo Reserva brings a new dimension to the Cincoro portfolio, with a complex flavor profile developed through our extended aging and blending process,” Fazzalari said.
“Michael Jordan and I personally taste every batch before bottling to ensure each expression meets the high standards of quality and craftsmanship we’ve set for Cincoro,” she added.
“We’re excited to introduce Añejo Reserva and share its exquisite taste with tequila enthusiasts,” Fazzalari said.
Michael Jordan himself also weighed in on the release.
“We set out to create something special with Añejo Reserva, and I’m really proud of the result,” Jordan said.

“It’s smooth and delicious, and I’m excited to share it with friends and family this holiday season,” he added.
The bottle and gift box are presented in a white-and-gold design featuring an agave motif.
Availability began on November 4, 2026.
The expression can be purchased online and at select retailers.
Retail partners include Total Wine & More and Binny’s.
It is also available at select high-end bars and restaurants.
This is not the first special release from Cincoro.
The brand has previously released themed bottles in partnership with sports entities like AC Milan and the Los Angeles Lakers.
It also released a bottle designed by rapper Travis Scott.
Cincoro entered the tequila market in 2019, a time when celebrity-backed spirits were becoming increasingly common.
The category has grown rapidly, with high-end añejo and extra añejo expressions commanding premium prices.
Añejo tequila must be aged between one and three years under Mexican law.
Cincoro’s Añejo Reserva falls within that range at 28 months.
The use of ex-Tennessee whiskey barrels is a distinctive choice, adding a layer of American whiskey influence to the Mexican spirit.
The limited-edition nature of the release is designed to create scarcity and urgency among collectors and tequila enthusiasts.
At $150 per bottle, it sits in the upper tier of the premium tequila market.

The holiday timing suggests Cincoro is targeting the gift-giving season.
Michael Jordan’s involvement remains a central marketing element for the brand.
Jordan is widely considered the greatest basketball player of all time.
His business portfolio includes ownership of the Charlotte Hornets, a long-running partnership with Nike through the Jordan Brand, and various endorsements.
Cincoro Tequila represents his entry into the spirits industry.
The brand has built a reputation for quality since its launch, winning awards at international spirits competitions.
Fazzalari’s hands-on approach, including tasting every batch with Jordan, is part of the brand’s quality narrative.
The Añejo Reserva release expands the Cincoro portfolio, which already includes Blanco, Reposado, Añejo, and Extra Añejo expressions.
Each expression in the lineup is positioned at a different price point.
The new Añejo Reserva slots between the standard Añejo and the top-tier Extra Añejo in terms of both aging and pricing.
Consumers looking to purchase the bottle can find it through the brand’s website and at participating retailers.
Availability may vary by location, as the release is limited.
The question now is whether the limited supply will sell out quickly, as has happened with previous high-profile tequila releases.
Cincoro has not disclosed the exact number of bottles produced for this expression.
The brand is likely watching consumer response closely before deciding on future limited editions.
For now, the Añejo Reserva is available, and Michael Jordan is personally vouching for its quality.
